Hey guys, one more thing: do I have to complete the form DS160 while my case is still at the NVC? Or is it something that I can do later when my case is moving to the Consolate?

I'm not an expert, but my understanding is the DS160 has to be done before you are able to schedule your interview, which you won't be able to do anyway until your file is at the embassy and your status is READY. Other than that it is up to you.

I called NVC for the first time today and they said my WAC wasn't in the system yet. NOA2 same day as yours. I am gonna try next week.

Same here. Noa2 Feb 13. They said it's not there yet. 😭

I did but it's not clear: if I read what is written on the NVC website, it seems that in order to get an approved VISA you have to complete the DS 160 but my question is now that I received my case number and it is said that my case is "AT NVC" what should I do? Wait until I get the email when they mail the case to my consolate? Or should I complete this form first as mandatory requirement to let them forward the case to my Consolate?

14. When can the DS-160 be completed?

The DS-160 is a document that stands alone. The DS-160 does not have a fee, and It does not
need to be completed now, but after you receive your case number, then you can schedule your
interview. This action must be verified with your P3 letter or others from your country. Most
embassies require the DS-160 confirmation number to complete the payment of the MRV
interview fee.

Let's break down what #14 states. The DS-160 does not have to be completed now but does need to be completed to schedule your interview BUT each embassy is different. Most embassies conform to the procedure that once you have your case number, you complete the DS-160 and then pay your interview fee, and after paying the fee schedule your interview. Others make you wait for the P3 and you follow their instructions that are contained in the letter.

Your embassy states that you just need to complete the DS-160 (which can be completed once you have your case number) and schedule the interview as well as the medical exam.

Hello all... why does my NOA2 say my petition is being sent to embassy instead of NVC?  Thanks in advance

Many have received that because that is an immigrate response and you are non-immigrant. But because when you are processing as a K-1, they treat it differently. So, your an immigrant till your visa is issued, then it switches to non-immigrant with immigration intent because of the marriage factor for K-1's. I hope that wasn't to confusing. The bottom dollar is that you do nothing and ignore that.

Just got ours. Any chance that there's a P3 thingie available for Brussels, Belgium?

Here is your thingie.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-be/niv

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Belgium&cty=Brussels

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Because it's different procedures for each embassy and you have not completed your profile, it's hard for me to help you.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
