Future income cannot be used to support you now. Neither can past income. They will care about current income first. At the time you present the I-134, it needs to show the petitioner's current income...that is how much they are earning at that time. The past income may be considered for the public charge piece as well, but current income is what is required.

It may be wise to seek a co-sponsor for now. The I-134 is not binding, and they do not need to use the same sponsor (or any other sponsor at all) for AOS after marriage.

What documents show the petitioner's current income? I have my fiance's W2 and IRS Tax Transcripts for the 2017-2019, are those enough?

Hi guys  !Our case is ready.

Right now we're working on our affidavit of support.

But we're a bit confused on the section "Citizenship/status/residency".

My U.S. petitioner was born in the Philippines and acquired his citizenship through his parents.  So now, we need to check the box that states " I am a U.S. citizen through parent(s) or marriage .  My certificate of citizenship no. is " the problem is we dont have his certificate of citizenship we only have his U.S. passport ? What can we possibly do?

Thank you!

Guys, my US fiancé tried many many times to call the NVC but it seems impossible to talk to anybody. Always a voice message that drops the call.

My hardcopy NOA2 date is 30th January 2020....I hope that our case will be sent by March 4th...

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form I-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should ALSO be presented (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form I-134. Both, the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, the value of properties, etc.). You may download the I-134 affidavit at https://www.uscis.gov/i-134 Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

According to the PDF the next shipping date is March 3. Did you check CEAC to see what your current status is? I would have thought you would have been on the last shipment of Feb 18. Do you have your case number from NVC or is that what you were trying to get when calling?

When you print the form just state it in section Part 7 which is toward the back of the form and reference the question. From the original question state to see Part 7. States that you are a US citizen by way of parents and that your proof is a US Passport. That should do it.

I called the 603-334-0888 number today. I don't think the call is a international toll free call. I called from my USA number.  My NOA2 is February 5th 2020, NVC received my case on Feb 21st, case number assigned on February 24th.

Congratulations. Now follow the PDF for the transit part of your case heading to your embassy on March 3 or 4. Good luck.

I tried to check the status under the section Visa Status Check - immigrant visa but they want me to enter the case number which I don't have. Am I missing something?
