  Yeah, for them to suggest that at least they are not as bad as SA is not the way to go. They might as well just admit they are at a loss to come up with a rational way to defend this type of action. Probably not going to change any time soon though.

   I agree, but if we were still around in 2120, we probably could have a similar discussion. I don't think the human mind has evolved yet to be very good at separating justice from revenge.

Well if you know the history behind Aceh province you would know that this is nothing new at all. Before 2004 there was a insurgency in Aceh province with the hope of creating a breakaway country with Sharia law. But after the tsunami that happened on Christmas Day and killed many people in Aceh. So pretty much right after this the Indonesian government and the insurgency sued for peace. What ended up happening is that Aceh province was able become autonomous and was able to implement Sharia law. Which ended the insurgency ended.
