A group of loosely affiliated Democratic operatives have been in discussions about putting together an effort to attack Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) should he end up winning next week’s Iowa caucus and, potentially, the New Hampshire primary a week later. 

The talks are in their nascent stages, and have already hit a snag. Big money Democrats have shown reluctance at funding such an effort, which could consist of ads attacking Sanders, and institutions associated with Democratic politics have largely shied away from being part of any campaign that goes after the senator, either out of fear over the backlash or growing acceptance at the prospect of him becoming the party’s nominee.

If you wonder why there's so much gaslighting, you're seeing it. Gaslighting, insanity, the new normal. Pretend others are corrupt while you're corrupt, convince people abuse of power is normal, change rules for favorite candidates while convincing people its normal. This is the sort of destabilizing efforts we see the US government do in other parts of the world, you're seeing it at home.

 

I think its most interesting watching this Leftist-neocon-Media-Dem-bureau alliance and how despite pretty much every one of these are far more antithetical to the left than Trump, they ally anyways. At very least, people like Glenn, Naomi, Noam (Chomsky), Michael (Tracey) and plenty of other rational lefties (many of whom I've admired and followed over the years) see it. 

 

And if you wonder why, even though I'm an independent, why I fight with lefties so much even though I agree with them on so many issues, it's because the bigger threats to basic freedoms tends to, like the political landscape, swing back and forth from left to right. The left are clearly aligning with some serious threats, and their arguments and approach, to public discourse, to elections, to use of authority/power, are as totalitarian as one can expect. 

 

Sure, Sanders' style socialism is dangerous, but it's the same kind of populism of Trump. The corruption of these establishments far supersedes the threat of populism. Any leftists aligning with the very types of people they couldn't stand only a decade ago is symbolic of how deranged they've become.

The Trump campaign, meanwhile, openly suggested that the delay meant that the caucuses were being "rigged," and that the embarrassing night proved that the Democratic Party can't be trusted to run Americans' health care and implement sweeping new government programs. Even if a winner were ultimately announced, the chaos and confusion has seemingly erased any hope for the major momentum boost that would normally result.
