k1 fiance worried!!!!

thanks for your quick reply. how long does it usually take to get interview once all forms are in. 1 concern of mine is at 1 point before i met my fiance i was working in U.S on a TN visa. I changed companies and appaerntly i was not allowed to do this. I was home on vacation and returned to U.S in Nov. while going through customs in toronto the officer asked me was i still working with same company and i told him NO. he informed me i was not allowed to work for another comapny in U.S and therefore i would have to go back to Canada.

on all of our k1 fiance process we have documented this and havent had a problem through california, NVC. I am just a little worried that during the interview it may come up, do anyone know if this will cause a problem?

i am sooo stressed out maybe I am worrying too much!!!! lol.........thanks

No. Your other visa problems should not affect your K1 application.

I-129F/K1

1-12-07 mailed to CSC

1-22-07 DHS cashes the I-129F check

1-23-07 NOA1 Notice Date

1-26-07 NOA1 arrives in the post

4-25-07 Touched!

4-26-07 Touched again!

5-3-07 NOA2!!! Two approval emails received at 11:36am

5-10-07 Arrived at NVC/5-14-07 Left NVC - London-bound!

5-17-07??? London receives?

5-20-07 Packet 3 mailed

5-26-07 Packet 3 received

5-29-07 Packet 3 returned, few days later than planned due to bank holiday weekend

6-06-07 Medical in London (called to schedule on May 29)

6-11-07 "Medical in file" at Embassy

6-14-07 Resent packet 3 to Embassy after hearing nothing about first try

6-22-07 DOS says "applicant now eligible for interview," ie: they enter p3 into their system

6-25-07 DOS says interview date is August 21

6-28-07 Help from our congressional representative gives us new interview date: July 6

7-06-07 Interview at 9:00 am at the London Embassy - Approved.

7-16-07 Visa delivered after 'security checks' completed

I-129F approved in 111 days; Interview 174 days from filing

Montreal is at 5-8 months I believe right now. I don't think you'd have a problem if you were up front about it, you were working. But there's more people on here who know LOTS more then me :) Try the Canada forum as well.

2007/09/03: My baby girl leaves for Trent University

2007/09/12: Interview@8:15 APPROVED

2007/09/19: Visa received in hand

2007/10/08: POE Sarnia/Port Huron

You don't need to start a new thread for each post - you can keep responding in your original thread! Might get a bit confusing otherwise... :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png
