Good evening

We are now at the NVC stage and since I have been living abroad with my husband I no longer have domicile in the US I’m considering moving in with my mother temporarily to obtain domicile until my husband arrives in the US and we would continue to live there until we find a place of our own. Is this allowed? And I add that my mother is going to be our joint sponsor....also from my understanding domicile is absolutely required by interview stage but what about the address for the AOS

~~moved to Canada regional forum from IR1/CR1 progress reports.  Canadian domicile is a different issue than most IR1/CR1~~

If you dont 'have a US address on the I-864, you'll have to provide the NVC with some evidence of your intent to reestabilish domicile. There is info in the NVC wiki on how to do this.  You're certainly allowed to live with family before finding your own place.  I would have either a formal lease agreement with your mom or at the very least a notarized letter stating she's okay with you guys living there for a period of time.

Awesome thank you so much! Also my mother is going to be a joint sponsor does she need to fill out the AOS I-864 only and provide tax most resent 1040 and pay stubs?
