Hello Everyone,

Just got notice that our case status was "Ready".

I am still waiting on Police Clearance from Hong Kong, which should have be received in HK this week (01-27-2020)

I do not want to schedule the interview until the Embassy has this. How will I know when the Embassy has received the clearance.

Is there a  reason you had it sent to the consulate?

YMMV

Clearance request was sent to HK Police.

The results are sent directly to Manila. I will not get a notice of when they are sent.

I understand,  why did you choose to have it sent directly to Manila from HK.

If you attend the interview and they haven't received,  they will issue a 221g and wait to make a decision until they do.

Your choice to wait or not

YMMV

Not my choice. That's the way HK does it.

I include our MNL# with application.

The results are sent to Manila.

You won't have any way of knowing the embassy received the police clearance from HK unless there is a way to track it from HK, which you state isn't possible.   CEAC status will not change.   Calling the embassy will only get you a call center.

If you want to wait for the clearance to arrive before the interview you will need to PFA a date unfortunately.   Maybe give HK 4-6 weeks to respond to your request.

Thanks @Hank_

I guess it will be a ####### shoot as to whether its actually at the Embassy or not.

Just trying to avoid a 221G and a return trip for her to Manila.

I did however email the Embassy and ask if there was some response as to whether they got it or not. I will let you know if i get anything.

Again.. thanks for all the work you do.

You will not know when the embassy will have the certificate. Make you interview far out in the future to accommodate the production of the certificate. Attend your interview and the CO will inform you if they have it or not. If they don't have it they will issue a 221(g) and you will have to wait till it arrives. Once it arrives they CO will finish adjudicating your case. To know when it arrives after the interview you will keep checking for movement on your file from the CEAC website.
