HELP: Can I reschedule oath ceremony at Newark?

I am scheduled for my N 400 interview at Newark on Feb 26. I have a couple of questions, since I may need to travel internationally immediately after the interview.

1) Can I opt to take my oath ceremony at a later date? I want to be able to travel on my current passport and apply for my US passport after my return. If it can be rescheduled, how long does it typically take?

2) Do i have to surrender my GC during the interview? If yes, what document do I need to get back into the US?

3) Will I have to surrender my Indian passport during the interview? Or is it still valid for travel, if I do not take my oath?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Once you become a US citizen, you must exit and enter  the country using a US travel document. You can immediately file for a US passport and expedite the process with the applicable fee, using a your naturalization document as evidence, you may be able to get a passport very quickly if you prepare now and collect the required items for a passport.

US nationality laws allow dual citizenship. You will have to review Indian law regarding dual nationality regarding your eventual possible forfeiture of Indian citizenship.

You do not become a US citizen until you take part in the ceremony.

USCIS has this to say regarding oath ceremonies:

If you cannot attend your scheduled naturalization ceremony, return the notice, Form N-445, Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony, to your local USCIS office, along with a letter requesting a new date and explaining why you cannot attend the scheduled naturalization ceremony. Failing to appear more than once for your naturalization ceremony may lead to a denial of your application.
