It could be considered as a negative factor in the totality of financial circumstances.

Right, just wondering how much weight is placed on that as compared to everything else? The financials combined with being on medicaid is the only thing I'm worried about. Also, for proof of employment I'd need an employer letter, but since I work for a family and not a company so how would I go about that since obviously there is no company letterhead?

How do you pay your taxes on that income?  1099?  That is how you would substantiate your income for the AOS.

There is no way to quantify the weight placed on any component of a given petition/application.

Nevermind.  Just saw that you say you don't pay taxes.  I don't think there is any way to verify income in that case.  I mean, you could get a notorized letter from that family member, but I doubt that would be considered, as anyone could write anything.

I won't be doing taxes for this job until next year's taxes since I just started the beginning of this year.

Right, this is why I'm concerned. I'll submit anything I can just to have something  but as you said I doubt it will be considered.

If it's self-employment, then it won't be considered income until you do taxes next year. It's revenue for now.

As long as the income is more then the poverty income line and if there is pure assets that’s can be turned in to cash and also money in the bank that should be fine.

Nothing stopping you doing an "official" courthouse wedding, its quick, cheap and you could get your marriage certificate there and then. Then you could file AOS before the 24th, then have your scheduled marriage ceremony later.

We'll do that~ since we already have a marriage license. I think the marriage certificate takes 2 weeks? How many days after can you get a copy of it? Thanks

It depends where you are as it varies by courthouse, when we got ours done we had the certificate instantly after the ceremony, maybe look around in nearby counties to see if they offer this or call them and see if theyll do it on request.
