Hi

I was wondering if the photo taken during N400 biometrics will be used on my naturalization certificate later.

I have read some reviews on how you should probably bring 2 passport style photos for the interview later, but I assume this is for the passport, not the naturalization certificate?

I have read posts regarding this few years ago, but not sure if it is still the same case now. any recent updates on this?

The photo they took for you at the biometrics appointment.

Hmmm... I had my biometrics appointment in October 2019. Seattle filer and estimated interview date is December 2020. So that photo will be 14 months old but then. Do they take another one to update it?

I think so, because people who submit 2 photos will face the same scenario.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Just had my interview today - The Officer mentioned that my naturalization cert will have my picture from the biometrics.

He asked if I'd be disappointed because I had black hair in that picture, rather than my current blonde hair 🤣

So funny that I have purple hair right now and that's what I put on my form for my biometrics under "Hair Color". The security and I both had a good laugh about it
