Hi All, thank you for all your views thus far. Thought to take a few mins to share the latest and perhaps if you have an opinion or experience with what’s going on with my case.

As you may know:

During my interview with the embassy in 2018 they found me inadmissible during to fraud and willful-misrepresentation, and I was advised to apply for I601 waiver to move the ahead (I had a previous bad marriage which was terminated legally in 2008).

Fortunately, the waiver was approved I was called for another interview. Interview was scheduled on Nov 20, 2019, after receipt of the I601 waiver approval.

During my interview, the CO mentioned that as soon as I submit the approval letter I should be good to go and confirmed that the application was approved (this felt odd as we believed that the CO already had a copy of the approval letter).

However, we submitted this letter to the embassy in India (I am an Indian national married to American citizen) and the embassy acknowledged the receipt of the documents (passport and waiver letter on Dec 5, 2019).

The status is showing as 'administrative processing' since then and we're keen to learn what is going on.

Status remained same till Feb 2020 (nearly 4 months). Unfortunately, lockdowns were impose from mid-March and the embassies were shut until around September 2020.

More recently:

In the last week of September, I got a mail asking me to submit PCC for India and UK, and a medical report. All documents were submitted on Oct 23, 2020 and since then my status is showing as ‘Ready’ - date has changed a couple of times. Have written to the embassy twice over the past few weeks, but their response is a generic on stating that they’re reviewing the documents. Wondering what else is taking so much time.

We have twins and my spouse is looking after them alone (needless to say that she is suffering and needs support).

It seems like the CO has taken a particular interest in our case - the passport is with the embassy for almost a year (aware that the embassies were closed for around 6 months); however, I have never heard such long processing times POST I601 APPROVAL. My spouse and I are very worried and thought to check if you have any views or advise.
