Does anyone have experience applying for L1B with a Technical Sales job?  My job is willing to make the case (I've been at the company for one year) and I have a degree which is required for this job, but the position is outside sales.

Any experiences?

Does the company have a Blanket L?  Faster and easier with it.

Either way the company files it.

It won't be a blanket application; just a one time.  As a Canadian I know I will go to the POE with the paperwork; I am wondering if anyone has experience similar to this situation?

What has the Lawyer said?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hi there, My husband L1A and I L2 came through Calais Maine POE last July. Not blanket visas. Company had immigration lawyer do all paperwork. It was a thick stack we carried with us. We had to get originals of birth certificates, marriage license and have pictures of our wedding from almost 30 years ago. Lawyer had made photocopies of all those documents for the file, but we needed to have the originals with us. Lawyer recommended we get a second original copy of marriage certificate while still in Canada to have on hand for future green card application. Customs officers in Maine had a laugh at retro 80s wedding pics in our file. Found it painless although we waited there for a couple of hours while they poured over all the documents and we had to answer a few simple questions confirming information. I cant deny that we were a little stressed because you worry they will deny you for some reason. A coworker of my husband's went through Toronto airport a few months earlier and there was an error in his paperwork which had to be corrected and try again so be prepared for that. Also, the lawyer was unsure how much time they would issue the initial visas for. We got 2 years for initial visa. Not sure if this information is helpful to you. Cheers.

The Lawyer said "anything is worth a try" ....  Since they get paid regardless, I assume any attempt is good enough for them.

Seems an odd response, this is not a cheap process and their fees will not inconsequential, not a comment your Employer would want to hear.

I agree with boiler, this sounds like a seat of the pants operation. How big is your employer?
