NOA 1 -  October 14, 2019

NOA 2 - Jan 24 2020

embassy : Ho cho minh, Vietnam

So I just got NOA 2, should I send documents like the I-134 form, bank statements, employment letter, letter intent #2,  and tax info right now to my fiance? I can send everything to her in less than a week.

will the embassy reject it since I am doing this before we get a case number? is it too early to do this right now?

thanks

You can send it to her because she will need it eventually for the interview. And when you get instructions for the interview you can send her the rest

so the embassy won't be picky about the documents being signed and created before a case number was issued?

she will need to get a police report and a single marriage certificate, can those be done before the case number?

can anyone else here confirm?. I really don't want us to get a rejection for the documents during the interview

Slow it down.   Don;y do extra work or make mistakes.   Like, police reports are only valid for a year.   If your interview is after 4/15 they will want the 2019 tax returns.   File the tax returns at the end of next week and then you can get transcripts.

So if your not sure just wait for them to send you instructions on what she needs to take for the interview. The police certificate in my country Trinidad is valid for a year. I had the I-134 sign since September the interview was December and he took it with him

I agree if your having doubts you can wait for the instructions on what to take with you to the interview.

Just wait for the instructions as your worried. I know you want to have everything but every country is different

At the minimum you need the documents listed here:

https://vn.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/required-documents/

So you can safely start on them.

If anything keeping busy will make the time pass a little faster.  Plus you will want to be ready to jump on the most convenient interview time at the consulate.  So be ready to go.

Since everything you collect will be hand carried to the consulate, you really can't over prepare for the interview... if in doubt, take it.

Also try and go to the interview.  Consensus is that it helps.  If the CO has a question would you rather an 221(g) or answer the question right then and there????

Your moving a little too fast. Here is what is required. If you get new updated information I would appreciate if you can share it with me so I can share with others as I am doing now with you.

Usually you will not receive the P3 letter in the mail. Do an online service request. They will respond typically in 2 -3 days with the instruction (P3). You will need to submit D-160 and pay the visa fee, then schedule the medical afterward. Technically, you will need the P3 to complete the medical exam, although some have gotten by with just the interview confirmation. I wouldn't risk it and would just request that they email it to you via: https://vn.usembassy...a-inquiry-form/  When using the form be sure to add in the comments section the last 4 digits of your SSN or they will email you back asking for it which causes further delays.

Here is some information including the Embassy P3 for you to get a head start

P3 Letter

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

@travisgarretson11

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
