Address changes before & during ROC

I have a few questions, please (I’m the sponsor):

I am moving out of state in two weeks, New York to Texas.  My wife and I already have the new apartment in texas with both our names on the lease.  My wife will stay with a friend here in New York for an additional 7 weeks, until April, and then travel to her home country for another 7 weeks, meeting me in Texas at end of May, about a week and a half before her 2 year GC expires.

We will file our ROC around March 9.

How should we handle the address changes with USCIS for both of us?  I believe I have 30 days, and my wife has 10 days to notify them of the new address.

Should we both update to the new Texas address as soon as I move, or should we update hers to the friend’s place she is staying with during those 7 weeks, and also notify them of the trip overseas, and then update again to Texas when she returns?

What’s the best way to go about all of this?

And, also since she might still be in New York (or even overseas) if we get a biometrics appt within the first few months of filing, what’s the best way to handle that, can it be rescheduled if needed (in texas instead of New York also if needed)?

Thanks much for your replies and help.

Since Texas is the primary residence moving forward, I’d just use the Texas address everywhere from now on. Biometrics will also be scheduled in Texas by doing so.

Okay so don’t worry about her temp address staying with her friend (and continuing working for 7 weeks in NY), and / or notifying them of her travel overseas for another 7 weeks after?

And, what about if we get a bio appt while she’s still in NY or even overseas, or would you not expect that to occur as early as within 90 days of filing ROC?

No worries. Just put in your new address. It will take some time for them to transfer your documents. But make sure to call and verify that they received your request for the piece of mind. I did that and turned out they haven't updated it as per my initial request. So make sure and follow up. It's completely fine.

Okay, thanks much - so you all think we should just update both our addresses, at the same time - to the new place in Texas, when I move?

And, do not worry about my immigrating wife staying behind for 14 weeks (3.5 months, half in New York with a friend, and the other half overseas)?

Any possible problems for her at customs arriving on a GC that expires in a week?  I might receive her ROC in progress paperwork beforehand, but not sure I’ll be able to get it to her if she’s overseas when it arrives.
