Do waivers affect processing time?? Filed in September but October status said document returned to uscis because they could not be delivered. We fixed that and updated the address but status still has not changed. Am an African student currently in the Caribbean for medical school and will be finishing my first part of medical school and I have to move on to the clinical rotations in the US. With the k1 pending I can't apply for a another visa and scared I will delay my school stuff. Am his second petition. He withdrew the first petition after it was accepted. Soo....... that is my scary dilemma.

What waiver, specifically?  If you mean the IMBRA Multiple filer waiver I don't think they add significant time, but rarely do people post about them.

I added a Multiple Filer waiver in with my I-129F packet that was submitted in December 2019 and so far have not gotten an RFE or any other notices.

Why can’t you apply for another visa? You are only at petition stage for the K-1. It’s possible to have concurrent visa applications.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Doesn't matter for the petition processing.

As a K1 you go home to the interview.   If you were a spousal you could adjust.
