I can't find a thread with this topic so I started one. Last September 2017 , we filed a petition for my mom to become PR, case was sent to TEXAS Service Center, it only took us 6 months to wait for USCIS to approve my petition, My mom is here in the US already. Last August 2019, we also filed a petition for my husband's mom to come to US and expecting to get the NOA2 next month, but case was sent to NEBRASKA Service Center. I did a reserach, and it says there the processing time for I130 in Nebraska is about 12 to 19.5 months, why it's longer? Does anyone of you whose case was sent also to Nebraska? Does it really take a year or more to wait for NOA2?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Ouch! So another 6 months.huhu. Thank You for your reply. Do you know if it's possible to transfer to a different service center?

It is not possible to transfer to another Service center.   From time to time, USCIS will transfer cases to balance the work load.  In fact, my wife's case was transferred from Nebraska back in 2017.

Oh so it's up to the USCIS if they will transfer your case or not, it depends upon their workload. Okay. Thank you so much for the infos.
