Ok, my girl went and filed for her sss id. She will have it in 2 months. She does have the number tho, think the number will be enough for her passport or think she needs the actual card? This is total bs.

No she isnt working or has no collage. She only went to grade 6 in school and all records are gone. She has nso birth cert, voters card, postal id and nbi clearance but still isnt enough for passport. Its way easier in us to get a passport.

wow thats a big mess not getting her passport. although a voters id and postal id are very valid enough as an identification card of a person. nbi and bc from the nso and if she's a baptismal cert, that's a big help too. are you sure the DFA wont accept this? coz i dont know what's more. if they ask for a transcript of record (136 from the elementary) can she not get it from her old school or dep ed? i know these things are hard to get/accqure but i hope she's got someone there to help her. i wish i could find the specific answer. i truly hope she'll get one pretty soon.

God bless and good luck!

i wanted to add:

its best too, to have a lawyer who can help her with this matter. coz i know someone who only got voters and postal id and nbi to support with, who got a passport. the lawyer was the one who processed the papers. (its in cagayan de oro)

She has been to Clark 2 times and turned away, they said she needs old id or sss id. I think its total bs also. So now she waits again for sss id.

hi charlie..

i checked your timeline..& your paper might be adjucted by June 24 (which is the NOA2)..

count another month for documents to arrive in USEMbassy Manila..Now within that period, you will receive the medical appointment..

Meaning, medical appointment can fall on that 2 months waiting for SSS ID..

& We all know that Passport is a requirement for the medical examination..

TO top it all, you guys might have a little problem on that..

Even the postal ID & NBI clearance wasnt acceptable in CLark?

Are u (Charlie) comes with Jen in passport application in CLarke? or ur in US right now?

dang

thats kind of BS alright, coz here in my city sometimes sss doesnt matter anymore. im really sorry for that but hopefully once we give them what they want (sss) then that'll be it. how can they asked for old id, heck i dont even have my elementary id anymore! it was 12 yrs ago and some schools especially public school back then doesnt required any id so how could we present one!

hi LARRY!

thats the effect of being with the laptop for almost 5 hours straight!

anyway, dont go with Jen for this passport application...well, we dont know why these poeple is making hard for you guys..

tell jen, bring all her identifications (NBI, Voters ID, Postal ID, Authenticated Birth Certificate etc.) and visit DFA in Manila..

People in clark must have been familiar with jen's face, that they knew why jen is getting her passport..for the K1 application..

so, tell Jen..try DFA Manila..bring all these identifications..tell jen to inform DFA Manila that shes getting her passport for work application in abroad - period. By the way, tell her to bring this paper from SSS that she recently applied for it.

maybe this thing will work..while waiting for that SSS ID..

this is just a suggestion..if you guys are open to try some ways to have a passport.

i hope this will help,

alexandra

I will call her tonight and tell her that, I only went 1 time and she went alone the next time. She lives in bulacan so manila is about the same distance for her. She figured the line in clark would be shorter.

to OP.. i don't remember people in DFA manila asking me for SSS id or older id's.. got mine 2 years ago, and all they asked for are my birth certificate and 2 recent id, which i showed them my driver's license and company id and they asked me to have it photocopied.... and u can have the passport shipped anywhere for minimal fee... as per alexandra's advice, you may want to try DFA manila

that could be one too. ive read in this forum and the other furom that instead of telling them that you wanted to get a passport for k1, tell them for travel abroad (tourist). mainly US. thats what i wrote and they didnt ask me for any further questions, requirements other than what is being ask in the application form. sometimes bringing their foriegn spouse/fiance could be a good thing or a bad thing. try dfa manila who knows it might work. wish you luck again
