Sorry, to be more correct the doctor came up with the phrase "the gaslight effect." I misspoke, and am sort of/not sort of surprised that this caused so much discussion here. Even though I actually cited part of the study that wasn't in the article (it helps having a researcher and alumni access, try it sometime)...

I cited the article, not the study.

 

I made no claim to have accessed, read and summarized the study all in the span of 30 minutes. That is your claim.
