I tried this today and it is amazing: https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/dry-sheet-face-mask

Yes, it is $22. Yes, it is a DRY mask. But, you can use it up to four times (says three on the packet but the MUA I spoke with at the shop said it's got four uses in it, which works out to $5.50 a use, which is a price I'd pay for a single mask. And I was dubious about the dry aspect of it, but it left me glowy and looking fresh, which I needed after drinking quite a bit of adult beverages last night. Success!

Well that surprised no one.

All dug out and we had some melt!

Excellent! Beautiful day here. Left Al at home and drove to my parents' in Burbank. Heading home now to assess the hangover situation at home. I kept better hydrated so I feel not too bad, if kind of tired.

No, not one of my own yet. I am renting a car this weekend because I have a bunch of errands to run tomorrow (Costco, picking up a mirror at a design studio, etc.), so I had already picked up a car yesterday for that. And since I had it, I decided to go see my parents this afternoon. Also it gives me a chance to try out a car I wanted to see if I actually like. It's an X5, and it feels pretty luxurious on the inside and I like the looks of it, but it feels too big. I liked the Volvo I tried the other week, but I am just sort of like meh about buying/leasing at the moment when I rarely need one. I can walk or bike or Uber/Lyft everywhere, and I even tried taking the bus this week which was fine. Al generally walks to work or if it's raining hard (it did one morning) he'll take a Lyft or whatever. And there's the Metro too, forgot about that, but I haven't tried it yet. There's a station less than half a mile away. At some point I'll probably get sick of it but right now, a car is one more thing to worry about.

My best friend ended up with an q3.  You may like that.

So my hair ended up turning a dark green from the temporary black that was put in.  (I feel a little like a bad*** dragon.)  but it does have me wondering what color a permanent would look like?

No like a really dark green.  It was black.  Just faded differently than I thought it would.  Probably because it was blonde before.  It's been purple and blue recently but to achieve those shades you have to go blonde.  The black apparently has a green tint when it's a temporary dye onto blonde hair.  I had to use a harsher shampoo one day and that probably didn't help.  Well maybe I'll just do brown all over.

Ha! I'd actually been looking at the Q3 online and thinking about whether it was the right size. I've been thinking about a Mini Countryman too -- I want the SUVish height but I also want something not too long. Also, it needs to fit my fiance, who is 6'2" and all legs.

The dark green is something I have seen before with a friend back in high school. She had mid-brown hair and her mother told her under NO circumstances was she allowed to dye her hair. So we figured with the kind of hair-splitting analysis that 15 year olds like to dabble in that using henna wasn't the same as using hair dye. So we got some black henna and really worked it in. She slept in it (!) with a shower cap over her head so it could really develop. In the morning, she washed it out, it looked black but when she dried it it was dark forest green. We had no idea what to do, so we asked my mom. She wasn't sure that Color Oops would work on henna so she recommended just biting the bullet and going home with green hair. She advised us against dyeing over the henna, which I have since learned was excellent advice. Better to have green hair than no hair, as the henna had metallic salts in it. My friend got a pixie cut the next day but still had to grow it all out.

I'm sure your green hair looked better than hers!!!

Purple and Blue is an interesting combination, not sure I have come across that.

Have you ever done anything from the Overtone line? I keep looking at the rose gold and thinking I'd like to give it a try. I haven't dyed my hair since I was a freshman in college, when I went honey blonde for a while from my natural strawberry blonde. It just didn't feel right on me, so I grew it out and have had natural hair for over fifteen years. But I hear the Overtone range is actually good for your hair and it just deposits color.

my friend has.  TBH is wasn't great, but then her hair is a little fried right now.  I follow someone on instagram who uses it tho.  Most of my hair is my natural brown but I had peekaboos. (have?)
