I seriously have no idea why I felt the need to wear full coverage for the second half of last year -- every day it was either Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Airbrush or Diorskin Forever Undercover. Now, these are excellent foundations but they cover everything. I think I got so fixated on my rosacea that I ended up overcompensating. The Terre Neuve is the lightest, right?

This whole "side parts are for olds" thing has been irritating me all weekend: https://www.thecut.com/2021/02/gen-z-middle-part-tiktok.html There is ZERO way that I will give up my side part, nope nope nope. I look very weird and like I'm trying to make too much of a statement with a center part.

I think it might be light, neutral? I think there's one or two lighter shades?  It's weird, because I'm not that fair, but it disappears, so it works.

Hair part location depends on the hair, and how it grows/falls also... No? With long hair, I've done no part, side and middle, bit side most often.  Now, I've cut my hair super short, and the cut has a little side part lol

I just looked up that Nars tinted moisturizer. Is it this one? It's so expensive! Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 - NARS | Sephora

But it's Nars so I'm sure it's great quality.

One of my side projects for my next US visit will be hunting for a US equivalent of this brand, for the same price or cheaper: Sunglow by Fresh Tinted Sunscreen (50ml) by Fresh Philippines | BeautyMnl

Approx. USD 9 for a tube that lasts me two months with daily use. Recommended 100% if any of you ever visit the PH.

It's the only want that does not make me break out... So, in the end, the price is worth it to me.

I recently bought a tube of one of my old standbys, which for whatever reason I abandoned last year, and now have no idea why I did: NARS tinted moisturizer. Wow! I look more glow-y and natural and the color match for me (Groenland) is perfect. I don't feel like I'm wearing a mask, I just even out the redness from my rosacea and look like me, but a bit better.

@NikLR, I am still in love with that Huda Beauty palette. Not a single dud in there and even the sparkliest ones are surprisingly wearable. How are you finding it?

It’s fantastic. I’ve used the purples a few times.  I’ll try a different combo this week. Suggestions?

I got a new-in-package container of Sebastian conditioner at an estate sale this weekend for $1.

Mildly curious as to retail price, but too lazy to research it.

A few years ago, I got a full (?) bottle of Paul Mitchell shampoo for $1, again at an estate sale.

Pretty good stuff.  Still using it, in rotation with many others.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hey so I had more highlights put in but now my hair feels kinda dry. Thoughts on masks?  Next time I’ll be getting some purple put in the ends like this.

These are kinds of treasures that I'm itching to find at US estate sales and garage sales (only if still sealed in original packaging, of course)

The only time sealed packaging matters is in regard to mouthwash and similar, A ma'am.

(And sometimes not even then, as long-time readers here will remember.)

I have so many partial bottles/tubes/packages of stuff that I can't remember whether I bought them retail (of course on sale or with use of coupons) or got them at an ES or GS.  The savings over full retail has probably approximated a quadragazillion dollars or so.

Okay, this is what I did today:

Desert Sand -- base

Twilight -- lid

Royal -- cut

Cosmo -- dot on center of lid with fingertip

But if you are not doing purples, this is my fave:

Desert Sand or Nefertiti -- base

Angelic -- lid

Turkish Delight -- cut

I have hooded eyes, so I tend to bring the lid color up high towards the brow at the outer edge so it's visible, and the cut I drag out so it can be seen enough. I find for liner, a plum or a raisin color works amazingly with these, but also I like a dark navy or a deep khaki.

OMG I love this! I am too much of a coward to (1) go to a salon yet and (2) do any color. I tried to go brunette once, right after college and wow, am I glad that was semi-permanent.

Masks! Eeeeeeeeeee! Okay, so today I did my twice-monthly Olaplex treatment. If your hair is fried, I seriously recommend it. Get the Olaplex No. 3. It's $28, and depending how long your hair is, it will give you 3-4 treatments. I left it in for 3 hours today, then (as advised) rinsed it out, washed and conditioned. I put in heat protectant, dried and styled and my hair feels smooth and thicker, somehow.

But for weekly, I can recommend a bunch. What's your price point? At the higher end, Kerastase always is fantastic, but a step down in price brings you to the amazing Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair and Sol de Janeiro Triple Brazilian Butter masks. I love both of these. I think the Briogeo is especially great. For drugstore/Target brands, the best is the Kristin Ess Reconstructive mask (available at Target).

But get the Olaplex if you are doing anything to strip color. It is called a miracle for good reason by people with color treated hair. Even someone like me with virgin hair appreciates what it can do to add moisture and seal ends.

Hard for me is they’re kinda hooded AND Down turned. But I have lots of brow space

I have the models hair color so it’s easy for me to just change color. My daughter never experiments with color because hers is just great as is. One day maybe she will.

It makes a huge difference whether "the coupon is free" or "the coupon is good for free chips & guac."  I would demand specificity.

Good point but the story I saw online about this made it clear both the coupon and the chips and guac are free.

$16 is a LOT for a e.l.f. palette, about $6 more than usual, so it seems like a ripoff when chips & guac cost less than that. Unless you have to have Chipotle branded eyeshadows?

I shouldn't throw too much shade, I'm the person who bought a Baby Yoda-themed palette a couple months ago.
