Just got back from the Salon, took Matilda in for her treatment.

The Desert Dusk palette arrived! A little disappointed that there is a scratch in the Twilight pan. This picture taken in natural light as the afternoon leaks away doesn't do it justice -- the Twilight, Celestial and Retrograde are color shifting and so gorgeous in real life.

Also picked up the Olaplex No. 3 because the ends of my hair are just haggard now, even with careful attention. My hair is hip length now, only about five more inches before I can sit on it. What with COVID keeping us shut down for the foreseeable future (stay at home order extended indefinitely) there will be no professional haircuts for me for a while.

Brad mondo trim time!  I like the palette but of course I can’t wait to get mine and see how it looks on my skin.

is there a good way you have for cleaning brushes other than washing and waiting a day?

Nero got a bath but as he has a short coat it’s nothing to show pics of. Lol

So you squeeze out the water with a towel?

I use Cinema Secrets makeup brush cleaner most of the time: https://cinemasecrets.com/products/makeup-brush-cleaner-8-fl-oz I try to remember to clean my brushes every week but I forget. The Cinema Secrets leaves you with clean brushes that are dry within about 15 minutes. It's not the immediately that they claim, but close enough! I try to do a proper soap cleaning every so often too. I use my facial soap for that. I hate cleaning brushes but the Cinema Secrets makes it bearable. It CAN get messy with large brushes. But it is super easy to clean up.

My little Mandalorian palette arrived! I will take pics later when there's some sun. I forgot I also ordered a beautiful plum gel eyeliner and a lip stain that is supposed to give a blotted look. Surprise makeup!

I repeat:  It must be really tough to be a girl.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

My husband rarely is out the door in 20 minutes if a shower is called for.

Depends mostly on water pressure, I conclude.  Stronger = shorter.

You too? He tells me he does some of his best thinking in there. I can tell you he does not do some of his best singing in there, though he is pretty convinced of it.

If need be, I have zero problem getting out of bed, having a coffee, showering, putting on a bit of makeup, dressing and making the bed in about 25 minutes. (I know because I did it the other day.) Some days I enjoy taking the time to spoil myself, like yesterday when my hair stuff ended up taking me 2.5 hours, including styling. But I took the time to read and write a little and watch an episode of Bridgerton and make a pizza, which I ate for four consecutive meals. Pancetta and Anaheim chile pizza IS for breakfast!

Look how cute this is!

I tried it on and the colors are gorgeous. BUT... it's a bit much for an entire look during the daytime when I'm going to Target.

The lipstain and eyeliner are beautiful. I hadn't noticed the stain was Sailor Moon branded but I don't really care.

Love Colourpop -- very affordable for excellent quality and it's made here in LA county.

You're a renegade among those of the distaff persuasion, LL ma'am!

You could probably make a fortune selling your secrets.

It's called focus.

It's also called Not Having Your Husband Around Distracting You With His Questions.
