Heading out to the Brewery soon, will have a look when I get back.

Enjoy! Not that I am doing outdoor dining, but tomorrow is our last day in the county for 3 weeks to drink at the breweries here.

Outdoor?

Below freezing, wind howling and a foot of snow!

Oh, duh. Sorry, having a blonde moment here -- it isn't 68F and sunny everywhere.

Stay warm and drink up.

'I stopped trying to control my body': the women who gave up grooming in 2020

Georgia Collier ... ‘I stopped shaving because there didn’t seem much point.’

Time to close the thread?

People can do what they want.  I happen to still go get waxings and today am getting a mani/pedi.  I wear make up at least once a week.  If they don't want to do it, don't.  No one ever says you have to do these things.

Absolutely. I don't judge other women for choosing not to groom the way I do, or at all. I wear makeup pretty much every day, even when I'm going nowhere. I do it to please myself, entertain myself, play around with color. If anything, the pandemic has made me feel more free to try different looks since my everyday look is very natural. If no one but my husband -- who doesn't really care one way or another if I wear makeup -- sees me, I feel more brave to try a dramatic eye look, or a bright lipstick. It's just a lot of fun.

I did stop going to the waxer, since the salons were closed for so long, and I haven't gone back since. I have stuck to shaving which again, my choice. And no manicures/pedicures since March for similar reasons, though I suspect I will start going back at some point when things get safer around here.

My Brother has not been inside a Pub since March!

I think that's a greater sacrifice than me not going to a nail salon since March.

My best friend is a nail salon regular. She bought a nail dremel in case they do shut down nail salons again, so she can at least remove her nails.  I haven’t had mine done since the shut down started tbh.  They have shields up for both pedicures and manicures.   The waxing place is good about cleaning and you have to wait outside for your appt.

Id like to try more with colours  etc but my hubs actually does get weirded out when I experiment.

I admit sometimes he'll walk into the living room where I'm sitting on one of the couches and raise his eyebrows at something really weird I've done, but he says whatever makes me happy and keeps me amused is good by him. The other week it was magnetic false eyelashes. I was very curious after reading about them in an article online -- you paint on eyeliner that has magnetic properties, let it dry for 10 minutes, then pop on the strips, which also have magnets in them. Um, well, it worked but it was kind of odd (I admit) to be sitting in the living room at 11am on a random weekday with super dramatic fake eyelashes, while I was wearing leggings and a sweatshirt.
