Sounds logical, you may need to remind me or suggests somewhere better to spend the winter.

Putting the reminder in my calendar for October 15, which seems a reasonable time.

It's lovely here in winter. :D A little grey, but generally not any cooler than mid 50s during the day.

Anyone have any leave-in conditioner recommendations? I feel like I need more moisture. I have normal hair, no scalp issues, but I haven't had a haircut in 5 months! While I don't have split ends, the last 3 inches or so are really dry. My hair is almost waist-length now, which is absurd. I dithered about getting a cut, and then the salons closed again, so I'm stuck, and I don't have the courage to DIY this sort of thing. I use Keratase Elixir Ultime hair oil all over, but I need a boost for the ends.

Waist-length blonde or near-blonde female hair is never absurd.

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Watch Brad Mondo. He has a method for at home haircut. It's really not bad and you can cut off the bottom 3-5.

You need to be more imaginative.

Well i only did it for 3 months, didnt see an improvement in his coat and switched to fish oils.

I personally use argan oil. It's more hydrating I feel and is absorbed vs sitting on top. I can only compare how my hands feel touching both.

I have my hair license so I’ve tried all sorts of hair products including leave in conditioners. My absolute favorite that I use on my own hair  is “it’s a 10” brand - “potion 10” miracle leave in conditioner. It’s in a blue and white bottle. second favorite is Pravana- intense therapy leave in treatment. Also blue spray bottle .

You need a license to have hair, that would explain it.

Thank you! I have used the It's a 10 in the past but completely forgot about it. I'll also look into the Pravana.

I may have purchased way too much stuff because of the 4x points multiplier event. Could be time for another haul rundown....

In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas for what works on maskne, please let me know. 😕 I have a ring of tiny spots around my mouth at the moment, which isn't normal for me. I keep my masks scrupulously clean, and use a new one every time I leave the house. It may be the detergent I'm using (I throw them in with the regular laundry), which is Mrs. Meyers. I let them hang dry, so it's not an issue with fabric softener sheets. I'm wondering if I need to wash these by hand in hot water with something very, very gentle... but has anyone dealt with maskne so far?

hmmm this is very entertaining thread.

I'm not very big on makeup and sometimes feel like I have no clue on what I'm doing.  The last few years I have joined subscription services.  My top favorites are birchbox and itsy.   Both give a handful of samples each month anywhere from Shampoo to face care and makeup (I haven't had to buy mascara since joining)  It's opened my eyes to all that is out there other then my normal coconut oil, exfoliator and oil of olay..lol

Make sure to use primer even if you're wearing a mask.  They should be washed in hot water or boiled for 30 minutes.  I throw mine in with the whites (even though they're black) and use bleach.

Alternatively get masks that stick out further from your face.  There are some patterns online if you sew that have the front edge further away.  All of mine are shaped masks not the pleated kind.
