What's wrong with VO5 from the dollar store, I keep asking myself... :bonk:

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If it works for you and keeps your hair feeling and looking healthy, nothing. It does not work for me -- there was a time not that long ago that I was doing all my shopping at the 99 cent store, and I used VO5. It cleaned my hair but left it limp, dry and in bad condition. I switched to Suave, which cost a little bit more but was kinder to my hair. Use what works for your hair -- the Ouai stuff doesn't work for mine. I'm going back to Kerastase because it keeps my hair looking great for longer, which means a lot to me.

Suave is indeed better than VO5, and sometimes it too can be found in the dollar store.

The "superior" Suave is often harder to find than the cheapie stuff. I am forever thankful for that 99 cent store for keeping me fed and bathed in a really bad time in my life. Lesson learned: do NOT allow yourself to only be a signatory on accounts that your spouse says you should treat as your own; maintain your own bank account in addition to a joint one; and keep some level of financial independence as well as interdependence. Because when your spouse becomes your vindictive ex, he won't play nice.

I did manage a trip to a physical Sephora today -- my first outing to retail experience that wasn't a grocery or a pharmacy since March -- to return the horrible shampoo/conditioner. And while I was there, I managed to look at (but not enter, because it is a tiny place) the Charlotte Tilbury and MAC stores, which look like chocolate boxes nestled next to each other.  :)

Personal Shopper is launching for women’s styles, and we look forward to expanding our capabilities for men’s selection soon.

My concern is that is is focussed solely at those who identify as Female and none of the other Genders. Not a good luck in these times of #BLM etc.

Well, it does tend to be women who are the first movers and greater users of these personal shopping services. I use StitchFix myself (as you know) and have for quite a while. When I joined, it was for women only, standard sizes. Then they expanded to petite and plus sizes (in my opinion they need MORE petite sizing, because I am forever sending things back because the arms are too long, or an inseam hits wonky, and blazers are impossible on me unless petite because the shoulders are never right). Then men's and children's.

Alex tried one box and said no thanks, I prefer picking my own things. His own very expensive things! He sent me a Hangouts message with a link to a pair of very nice men's boots (these ones: https://viberg.com/products/wholecut-boot-black-classic-calf) with the message that he wanted them, and what did I think? I said they were lovely. He said I should get him a pair for my birthday! The cheek!!! He said what's the point of marrying the alimony queen if he can't get a $700 pair of boots out of it?

Merci, might try it!

Absolutely loving it. Coverage is outstanding -- you need so little and you do not need to build it.

And of course now I have an excuse to fill up the cart again... Thinking about buying some eyeliners in crazy colors since lipstick is kind of pointless these days when you go out in public, at least here where we have a mandatory mask order.

Any summery refreshing mask to recommend? Hand treatment?  Please and thank you.

Hand treatment... I don't know! I need one too. I expect something with glycolic acid or a hyaluronic acid would do the trick. Homework for the holiday weekend!

Refreshing mask... okay, it really depends on your skin type/issues. One I love for when I am having a mild breakout is the Blue Tansy mask from Herbivore: https://www.herbivorebotanicals.com/products/blue-tansy-mask  It clears up small blemishes pretty quickly, and is very refreshing. I also like all of the Sephora sheet masks I have tried -- Green Tea, Pineapple and Pearl. https://www.sephora.com/product/face-mask-P429722 But if you need something that is more nourishing and moisturizing, look for something that is a gel consistency with rose in it.

Thanks - I might try the Blue Tansy.  For the hands, I might try to diy with gloves and what I have already. Gardening has been hard on my skin...

Any hot springs / hot baths in your area Boiler? We're planning to vacation in Colorado when life is back to normal...

I like Mt Princeton, have not been but am told Cottonwood is good, different, are you looking for somewhere you can go au naturel?
