I dont want buildable. Make up forever is buildable but it takes too long for my routine and tends to just settle in my lines.  I am almost 40 and have spent a lot of time outside.

Okay, if not buildable, the tarte shape tape and the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless are the ones that go on full force. I would normally say Estee Lauder Double Wear because it's been for me the most consistently full coverage without looking too made up, but it isn't for dry skin. Ditto for the tarte Amazonian Clay foundation.

Another one that I hadn't thought of -- I have read of it but not tried -- is the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless foundation: https://www.narscosmetics.com/USA/all-day-luminous-weightless-foundation/999NAC0000017.html Apparently it is highly pigmented, so it doesn't need to be built up for full coverage.

I checked KVD Beauty, but again a lot of the full coverage options are for oily and combo skin.

Are you using a brush, sponge or beautyblender to apply? I use a beautyblender, but I am told a good foundation brush is the key to getting great full coverage results.

I will have the Airbrush Flawless feedback this week and let you know what I think. I love her products but I will be totally honest what I think about the wearability, coverage, etc.

Interesting about the NARS. I think they have been messing with formulations, I used to swear by their tinted moisturizer but I bought one a few weeks ago because I like a little less coverage in the summer generally. Not impressed either, it oxidized and made me orange.

Another idea -- Clinique Even Better Refresh. Specifically for dry to very dry skin and full coverage! https://www.clinique.com/product/1599/63583/makeup/foundations/even-better-refreshtm-hydrating-and-repairing-makeup?shade=WN_68 Brulee Price is also very good. Might be one to get samples of if you can get to an actual department store that carries it.

I have suggestions! So KVD (which is now KVD Beauty because Kat herself walked late last year -- still all vegan and cruelty free) is one way to go, but you know with her, it's WHAM a full face o' slap! I myself am wearing a full face o' slap today because... I was bored. :D

tarte makes such wonderful products, and I was going to recommend their Amazonian Clay BB cream (here: https://tartecosmetics.com/en_US/makeup/face/bb-cc/amazonian-clay-bb-tinted-moisturizer-broad-spectrum-spf-20/24.html) but maybe they are phasing it out? Looks like some shades are harder to find than others. Anyway, I have used this and it is GOOD. It is buildable and is fine for oily skin. There is also this, which also looks great for oily skin and has a built in primer: https://tartecosmetics.com/en_US/makeup/face/bb-cc/bb-tinted-treatment-primer-broad-spectrum-spf-30/373.html

An out of the box thought is Glossier Skin Tint: https://www.glossier.com/products/perfecting-skin-tint A little less coverage but very, very buildable. A good friend of mine swears by it, and she also uses their Stretch Concealer for more coverage when needed. I use their Boy Brow on my brows because I don't like an overly manicured (ummmm, can you say "manicured" about brows??) brow look. I.e., I do not want to look like I used a stencil and sprayed them on!

Supergoop, besides making fantastic sunblock for your face, also make this which I had a trial size of at some point and which I double checked was vegan and cruelty free: https://supergoop.com/products/daily-correct-cc-cream I liked it!

Setting spray will make everything stay in place! If you don't feel comfortable using UD, tarte has one I have used that I like as well: https://tartecosmetics.com/shop/makeup/face/prime-set/rainforest-of-the-sea-4-in-1-mist/769.html

The Bare Minerals mattifying primer is good stuff!!!

Thank you, these sound promising!

I'm going to hold off on buying until I've used my UK stuff, but will let you know what I end up with! 🙃

The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless arrived this afternoon and I just applied it, along with the matching setting powder.

First impressions: the 5N is a decent match for me (I am an NC23 or NC25 in MAC) but could be too dark in the winter. Coverage: FULL -- one layer did me after some spot correction for redness with concealer. I used a big fluffy brush for the powder. It doesn't look fake for being such full coverage -- it looks glowy and natural. It is matte, but not flat matte. It's full without looking too made up.

I will see how it is at the end of six hours.

I thought you denigrated airbrushes for make up?

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

So I fell asleep with my makeup on bingewatching Netflix and woke up at 12:30am -- went to the bathroom to survey the damage to the makeup from my face being smooshed on the sofa for an hour. Amazingly, the foundation was still looking fresh, except for where I'd fallen asleep with my hand on my chin (I apparently do this now?). So after 7 hours it still looked good. :) Going to try again today for a longer period -- about to hop in the shower and will do a full face after that. If this beats out my Double Wear, I will be a full convert.

For the rest of the face I went low key -- I used a NYX eye primer that doubles as an eyeshadow: https://www.target.com/p/nyx-professional-makeup-eye-shadow-base-skin-tone-0-25oz/-/A-14582475 and then did a smudged out deep purple eyeliner: https://www.beautylish.com/s/charlotte-tilbury-rock-n-kohl-elizabeth-violet. Mascara was one of the free samples, this time the Gucci Mascara L'Obscur: https://www.glamour.com/story/gucci-mascara-lobscur-review Quick dusting of my favorite bronzer, Park Avenue Princess: https://www.ulta.com/limited-edition-park-ave-princess-waterproof-face-body-bronzer?productId=pimprod2015005 No need for lipstick because... mask, right?

Guess I looked good because a guy tried to pick me up at Total Wine when we went down there to stock up on booze... My fiance was NOT impressed.

So much for Me Too and Times Up, in CA of all places.

Well, he was kind of awkward about it. I was checking out the champagne selection while Alex was perusing the beer chiller cases, and this guy who looked like he could barely drink legally walked up to me and started asking me if I knew a lot about champagne. I said some, why? He said he was looking for a bottle for a special occasion, so I asked his budget and he said the sky's the limit. I was a little dubious, but I showed him some of my favorites in the $50-75 range because I thought that might be reasonable for something special without blowing the roof off. He chose one (Billecart-Salmon Blanc de Blanc, a solid choice) and I said, enjoy! And he said, I thought you'd be sharing this with me? I did not laugh but responded no thank you, very nicely. Now if I had an engagement ring I might have flashed that but no.

So! We are at about hour 7 now of wear on this and I have a light shine on my forehead but other than that, the makeup has not budged. I think a dusting of powder would fix the shine immediately.

Anti-recommendation: on a whim, I decided to buy a different shampoo and conditioner combo, just to see if it lived up to the hype. Everywhere you go in LA, there are billboards for Ouai's new line for fine, medium and thick hair. I thought, why not, and I read a few reviews and thought they might work for me. I have medium hair, with a light wave that tends to frizz. I'd classify it as normal, but the ends of my hair are a bit dry right now because I haven't had a haircut since February because of COVID19. I don't dye my hair but I do blow dry it.

BAD IDEA. My hair is absolutely fried now, dry as hay and frizz frizz frizz. I used my Kerastase serum both times I've used it and it still looks awful! It tangles and looks an absolute mess. It does smell nice but really???

Going to have to do a deep conditioning tonight, put on the Briogeo and stick a shower cap on. I guess it works for some but not this person. ☹
