No. I've always been a bit dubious-- like, what if it doesn't work and you end up being a little whiffy? Or a lot whiffy? I'm curious but unwilling to be a guinea pig!

The native one smells fine but if you sweat dont bother.  Deodorants are not antiperspirants thats for sure.

I'm not a sweaty person unless I'm working out, so I usually just go for a deodorant. Might check the native one out then. Thanks!

Any thoughts on a not silly expensive after shave?

Coming up for air in between Zoom calls -- I will ask Alex for his thoughts but questions I know he will ask -- do you prefer aquatic, woodsy, floral or spicy? Also, what the max you will spend?

I swear he has come along pretty far from when I met him and he spent quite a bit of time drenched in Lynx/Axe.

Use this as his inspiration, obviously more than Lynx but not silly.

Aqua Velva is oldest and best.

Used to like Old Spice lime, but haven't seen that in many years.  Try regular.

And who exactly wants deodorant, natural or otherwise, that makes them smell like a guinea pig?

Then wouldn't you need them ALL cut, and not just one?

I am not allowed to buy eyeshadow palettes for the time being because I have WAY too many (also I am very into the monochrome cream eyeshadow thing at the moment), but this is an amazing deal IF you are looking for such a thing. Urban Decay's Naked Cherry palette is 50% off at $24.50 which is uggggghhhhh so tempting, even though I don't need it. But I love pinks and mauves and purples (I'm a green-eyed girl, so those tones make my eyes pop), and the UD shadows are almost uniformly excellent.

I think I remember a long time ago @NikLR talking about gel eyeliner, and this is my absolute favorite one -- and it's on sale!

Yes, it is $20.25 (for the Black Mauve Shimmer one) but that little pot will last a long, long, long time. I go through eyepencils far faster than one of these pots, so you have to be careful to keep it closed tight or it will dry out. Right now we're all still wearing face coverings here, even though the county is starting to open up some, so eye makeup is my focus at the moment. I might put this one in the bag.....

Also, NOT beauty but I found it when I was looking around -- how ridiculous is this? https://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/p/judith-leiber-couture-pepperoni-pizza-clutch-bag-prod150810067

I bought some it cosmetics CC+ foundation based on last year's summer foundation from make up forever.  I already think it may be too light since I've had SO MUCH freaking sun this year so far.  But I notice sun spots so I wanted a full coverage.  Plus they have a thing where you get some extra product

That looks like a really good deal. Thank you!

I have massive farmer's tan -- my desk is next to a window, in the corner, and only one of my arms gets sun exposure. And this is with sunblock AND a UV coating on the window!

What do you mean not beauty? There is a fat man somewhere lamenting the lack of availability of a suitable man bag

Felt like doing a product diary today. :) Sundays are really the only day during lockdown that we go anywhere -- the grocery store! -- so I spend the time doing self-care and getting a lot more made up than a regular day, just to feel again what it's like to get made up.

Started with the last use of a Charlotte Tilbury Dry Sheet Mask (https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/dry-sheet-face-mask) after wiping my face clean with micellar water. I was dubious about this when I got this but wow. My skin absolutely glows and is so smooth after wearing it.

Next, shower time: Kerastase Discipline Shampoo (https://www.kerastase-usa.com/collections/discipline/bain-fluidealiste-shampoo.html) -- great for my frizz. Followed by the weekly Kerastase Discpline Maskeratine (https://www.kerastase-usa.com/collections/discipline/maskeratine-hair-mask.html) which I leave on for five minutes. While that is working, I wash with Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana cream cleanser (https://soldejaneiro.com/products/coco-cabana-moisturizing-body-cream-cleanser) -- just got this on Friday and I love how it smells! Very moisturizing too. My face is already clean from the mask so I just give it a quick wipe with a muslin cloth after I've rinsed out the mask.

After, I moisturize my whole body with Everyone for Everybody coconut and lemon lotion (https://www.eoproducts.com/products/coconut-lemon-3-in-1-lotion) -- this is very light but very moisturizing. I got the 32 oz bottle at Whole Foods for $10 on sale and it will take me forever to get through. I do the matching Maelys B-Perky (https://www.maelyscosmetics.com/body/b-perky/) and B-Tight (https://www.maelyscosmetics.com/body/b-tight/) masks -- I am not going to get the B-Tight again, but the B-Perky is honestly kind of amazing.

Then I splash and pat SK-II Facial Essence (https://www.sk-ii.com/00730870159439.html) on my face. I got a free sample of this and I am waiting to see if buying a bottle is worth the price tag. I follow up with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum (https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/charlottes-magic-serum-crystal-elixir), another free sample. Loving it already! More glowy goodness. Follow it up with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/charlottes-magic-cream), which I love utterly and completely. I have given jars to every woman I know and they are all hooked! Finish up with some Dr Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass color correcting treatment (https://us.drjart.com/products/cicapair-tiger-grass-color-correcting-treatment) for SPF and redness reduction. Oh, and a little eye cream, another sample -- Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue (https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/magic-eye-rescue-eye-cream).

Makeup! First eye primer, the Urban Decay one I have used for years because it is hands down the best (https://www.urbandecay.com/travel-size-eyeshadow-primer-potion-original-by-urban-decay/UD518.html?cgid=1_503#start=4&cgid=1_503). Next, a sweep of MAC cream eyeshadow in Painterly (https://www.maccosmetics.com/product/13840/1573/products/makeup/eyes/eyeshadow/pro-longwear-paint-pot#/shade/Painterly) with CT Rock and Khol eyeliner in Elizabeth Violet (https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/rock-n-kohl-elizabeth-violet).

Next YSL Top Secrets matte primer (LOVE this -- a little goes a long way https://www.yslbeautyus.com/skincare/skincare-collections/top-secrets/top-secrets-instant-matte-pore-refiner/82YSL.html). Some Dior concealer (https://www.dior.com/en_us/products/beauty-Y0123000-dior-forever-skin-correct-24h*-wear-full-coverage-moisturizing-creamy-concealer-*-instrumental-test-on-20-subjects.) in 2N -- this is fantastic stuff, and I need very, very little foundation. Speaking of,  I used my trust Diorskin Backstage, also in 2N (https://www.dior.com/en_us/products/beauty-Y0028001-dior-backstage-face-body-foundation-face-and-body-foundation) with a beauty blender sponge. Set with Too Faced Peach Perfect powder -- smells amazing and if it gets in your mouth it tastes very sweet. Yum! https://www.toofaced.com/product/23477/59093/face-makeup/powder/peach-perfect-setting-powder/mattifying-loose-setting-powder

Next just a tiny, tiny bit of highlighter on my cupid's bow, the bridge of my nose and the inner corners of my eyes. I love this Sephora one in Dusk and it is terrific value -- you get a ton: https://www.sephora.com/product/golden-hour-highlighting-powder-P420607?skuId=1931104  For blush I will never give up my NARS Orgasm -- out of my cold dead hands! https://www.narscosmetics.com/USA/blush/999NACBLUSH01.html

Blend blend blend blend blend blend blend... then Urban Decay De-Slick which is now my Holy Grail setting spray, even more than All-Nighter. https://www.urbandecay.com/de-slick-oil-control-makeup-spray-by-urban-decay/ud804.html

Finish with Glossier Boy Brow in Blond (https://www.glossier.com/products/boy-brow) and Gucci Mascara L'Obscur -- another free sample and WOW. It is buildable and can be very subtle or OTT if you want. https://www.gucci.com/us/en/pr/gifts/gifts-for-women/mascara-lobscur-black-p-6146709PMA41000 For my lips, since I'd be wearing a mask outside, I went for (drumroll) Lipsmackers Lip Balm in Dr Pepper! https://www.lipsmacker.com/dr-pepper-3.html There's a hint of tint and it moisturizes well.

Hair: Kerastase Elixir Ultime (https://www.kerastase-usa.com/collections/elixir-ultime/lhuile-original-hair-oil.html) and Kerasilk Style Smoothing Sleek Spray (https://www.beautycarechoices.com/goldwell/kerasilk-style-smoothing-sleek-spray) before blow drying with a round ceramic brush.

Wow that looks INSANE.  I promise that all of this took about an hour, including the 15 minute mask, 12 minute shower (I time them) and 10 minute blow dry, and some general faffing about.
