I rarely wear lipstick. What do you wear when you dont like lipstick?

Lots and lots of options. A decent balm -- tinted or not -- helps with keeping the delicate skin moisturized and less prone to chapping/cracking. I am not a huge fan of glosses because I don't like my hair getting caught in them (a hazard), but there are some low-stickiness glosses. I also like good old fashioned Lip Smackers believe it or not -- the Dr. Pepper one has a light tint and is soothing.

If you're going the balm route, Burt's Bees has some nice options in tinted and untinted varieties. Personally I love the NARS Afterglow balms -- they range from just a hint of color (Dolce Vita and Orgasm) to a pretty punchy red (I have the Turbo one which is a sheer cherry). I also highly rate the Milk Kush lip balms -- there is a clear one but I love Bubble, which is a rosebud pink on me. Not a lot of pigment, just enough to make me look not dead. Nug is really pretty too. Here's the page for them: https://www.sephora.com/product/kush-lip-balm-P440645?icid2=products grid:p440645&skuId=2169381

I personally do not have an issue but because it is so dry here a lot of people use chap stick type products.

I'm going to write an autobiography of personal triumph and surmounting obstacles.  Its title shall be, "How I Licked Chapped Lips."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I personally don't like lipstick either but in the cases where I decide I want some color, I usually go for some sort of gloss instead, but sometimes I bite the bullet and just wear the lipstick :)

You got to do what you got to do.

So, some comments on recent purchases:

Dr Jart Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment -- a little goes a long, long way. I put way too much on the first time and I looked bizarrely sheet white. With a lighter hand, it does a good job on toning down general redness, but I have some lovely Coronacne at the moment 😕 and it doesn't completely tone that down. SPF 30+ is good though.

Moschino Toy Boy -- surprisingly complex for essentially a mass market scent. Peppery and a little floral. It smelled great on Alex but he is of two minds about keeping it. His favorite continues to be Afternoon of a Faun by Etat Libre d'Orange.

Amika hot brush -- does add volume and blow-out style waves, but it takes patience. I am going to work with it for a while because the results are fantastic -- waves stayed in almost all day without hair spray -- but there is something of a learning curve.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil Serum -- smells amazing, and kept frizz at bay for two days +. Love this and will keep buying.

Maelys B-Tight Lift & Firm Booty Mask -- the funniest one for last. So, I was curious about this stuff after doing the sheet masks for my bottom. The effects are sort of short and long term; I can only speak to the short term for now after two applications. In the long term (4 weeks) it's supposed to tighten up the texture of your bum and thighs; I am human and do have some cellulite that is more genetic than anything else (thanks mom). In the short term, it does the same, but the effects wear off after about a day -- the more you do it, the longer it lasts. Anyway, you put a thin layer on your bum and thighs and wait for a few minutes before rubbing it in and leaving it. The company warns you you may feel some warmth -- uh, YEAH. "Some" is an understatement on me! I felt like I'd been sitting on an electric heating pad for about half an hour afterwards. On the other hand, it did actually make it feel smoother in the areas I applied it. (I had third party verification on this.) I guess I'll just keep using it three times a week to see what happens.

@NikLR, I have given up on that Buffet with copper peptides. I have been breaking out for a month in a way I have not in a very long time, and while some of that is probably stress from the whole pandemic thing, I suspect it is the serum. I stopped using it five days ago and my skin is already calming down a little.

I had heard about the Lancome offer from my mom -- because Lancome NEVER has sales, and she is a Lancome person for the few times she actually wears makeup.

I have been looking at that Naked Reloaded palette for a month or two... I keep saying NO MORE PALETTES! and then I buy another palette.

Thank you! And please keep posting here. :D

There was a girl that worked for me thst used lip plumper... she had a very thin kinda angular face and always looked a little odd with her lips all ducked out.

I'll let you know if I duck out. :P I gave it a sniff and it smells like Eau de Britney Spears -- fake strawberry lip smackers circa 2000. I am... worried and curious at the same time.
