Thats actually where I sent them the message 🤣

Oh wow. UGH! One time I ordered an Amika hair straightener from Sephora, and I got a note from the post office that I had to come pick it up there because it was a missed delivery. Which is weird, because normally everything I get from Sephora came by UPS or DHL. Anyway, I went to the post office and even though I had the slip showing a missed delivery, it was nowhere to be found, and the number on it didn't even seem to be on their system. So I complained to Sephora, said I had done nothing wrong and I wanted my money back. They looked into it, apologized and refunded my money AND gave me a bunch of points. Fast forward to two months later... I come home from the gym to find a battered, torn up looking Sephora box on my welcome mat. Inside was the straightener, with a mail date of two months before. Ummmmm, I may not have returned it. :D Worked just fine.

What does it say about me that I dreamed about this thread last night?

Got a sample of the Barbara Sturm eyecream which is an astounding $140 for 15ml. 🤯 I tried it this morning for the first time -- my skin soaked it up and it made me look a little brighter around the eyes. The cooling effect was nice too, but $140? No.

So E.L.F twitter didn't respond to my messages so I went on their website and sent them an email. Their response to the email was so unhelpful it was ridiculous. Their email only said that my item is in transit, gave me my tracking number and a link to track my package....

I will not be buying anything from E.L.F online again

Still we rise, here and now

Finally got my products from E.L.F... ALSO had my tattoo appointment that I have been waiting 2 months for

Really glad to read you got them! 🙂

Finally a VIB member of sephora again.  Only took $200 in Murad plus some oil.

Trying the Urban Decay sample of eye primer.

Really love the KVD Shade + Light Palette.  There's fallout in the palette but the pigment is great.  I've never spent so much money on a palette before but I've used all the colors! (helps that they're all neutral... lmao)

Come join us on the Rouge dark side. We have cookie-scented $100 moisturizer. :P

That UD eye primer is a game changer. And the Shade + Light palette is soooooo nice. The KVD pigments are always finely milled and gorgeous.

Speaking of KVD, the Lovecraft and Cathedral Studded Kiss lippies are some of my favorites, even though I need more lipstick like I need the coronavirus.

I'm thinking ahead that as many businesses are closing, I might not be able to get some of the stuff I use regularly. I'm going on a makeup diet, since we're really not going to be going out very much, except for a bit of exercise -- we're working in daily walks on the beach -- so just serum/moisturizer, cleanser, etc.. Anyway, there are still things I'll need like shampoo and conditioner, since keeping clean is still important. So I'm putting in an order at Nordstrom today. I did look at the Sephora website and I don't know if anyone is even thinking about eyeshadow palettes right now (understandable if you aren't) but the KVD Lolita palette is on sale: https://www.sephora.com/product/lolita-eyeshadow-palette-P439203

BTW, Sephora is doing free shipping for everyone now with no minimum as part of their response to COVID19.

A photographer whose work aims to celebrate women over 40 without their make-up says her exhibition has given them "visibility and a voice".

Jo Blackwell, 58, took 52 portraits and was sent 115 selfies for her Face it, Own it project.

The photographer, from Brixworth in Northamptonshire, said those who took part "really are astonishing".

She said: "Each one of those women have told me their story which is a privilege."

Ms Blackwell launched her project last year.

She said: "It really was a whim, I thought I would have to pay women to come and take their make-up off because some of them would never be seen without their make-up.

"It is all about giving visibility and letting their voices be heard."

Ms Blackwell has also produced a book with all 167 women and a short film with the women she photographed.

The Face It, Own It exhibition is at the J Gallery in Moulton, Northamptonshire, until 6 April.

Four of the women who took part have told the BBC why they got involved.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
