Hey all,

I just got notice from the NVC that my documents were accepted and that I will be getting an interview with the consulate. They are working with the consulate to get me an interview. How long does that process take before I find out about the interview date?

Thank you!

Montreal is taking approximately 6 months for IR1/CR1 and likely F2A.

Thanks for the estimate.  Where do I go to find those numbers?

There is normally an NVC thread in the IR1/CR1 progress reports and also an ongoing group chat (??) in the Canada regional forum.

Hold on, so it takes around an additional 6 months to get an interview date after they accepted all NVC stuff online and everything is still current? Woah, well, i don't think it will remain current for 6 additional months and then after 6 months theyll give you th einterview date couple more months after? So this like another year....That's rough.

After everything is done at NVC you still have to wait until the consulate has a interview slot available.

Yeah I know, just wondering the time frame until that is open. "Current" meaning a C on visa bulletin for F2A category for the country of spouse is from.  Atleast they are giving out visas since it is current, no clue where in line they are so gotta wait I guess. Thanks all.

for f2A it is a little hit or miss, but generally once your date is current, you can apply for the visa and when your case is complete at the NVC, you're put into line at the consulate.  Even if they change the timeline they don't generally say "oh you're no longer eligible."

You should ask your own question and tag it Senegal to get the best response. Also, maybe ask your question in this thread:
