My case was completed on May 29th 2007 and i'm trying to get a sense of when to expect an interview. Also is there a possibility of changing Embassys this late in the game from montreal to vancouver?

Unfortunately CR1/IR1 are only done at Montreal. but the good news is that the interview dates for CR1/IR1 are scheduled by NVC and not Montreal. Do a search and you should be able to get an idea on when you can expect an interview from case completion at NVC.

good luck :)

There is a long discussion about the Montreal timeline in the Canada regional discussion forum of VJ. It looks like it'll be a 4-6 month wait.

Good luck!

hi GLady,

Congrats on your case being completed. From the date that your case has been completed, I think you will DEFINITELY get an interview date around July 13-15.... If I were you, I would call them around July 14.. and ask to see if a date has been assigned to you.. it will most probably be an interview date in AUGUST......

If you really wanna push it, you can also call on June 15 to see if you have a date for July... but because your case was completed end of May... people whose cases were completed between May 1 to May 28 are all ahead of u... if the spots were all given up.. then you'll have to wait for july... but if u're lucky.. u might get a date in July!

Call this friday....

my time line was: Feb 13, case completed... March 15.. got interview date for APril 13...

check out the Canada forum. there is a Cr1/IR1 specific discussion. adding your dates to that would help everyone. Montreal has slowed down since ourMao got their interview. our case was complete 4/3/07 and we still don't have an interview date.

Since NVC schedules the IR1/CR1 interviews, are they normally scheduled quicker than if the montreal consulate scheduled it?! I know this is wishful thinking, just seeing if anyone knows.

Yes, from my personal experience, I would have to say that for CR1/IR1 interviews, it's scheduled quicker than K3 and K1 interviews in Montreal. That was in April of this year. I dont know if they're still keeping that up.

Our case for the CR-1 was completed on May 15th, with an application date of October 2006. It has been a long wait and my wife and I would like to start our lives together. This might get even more urgent as she has been offered a job that starts in early Setember............The NVC and Montreal needs to suck it up and Get-er-done!!!!!!!!! That is my two cents worth.

Hi, just to put in my two cents of experience. My wife's case was approved on April 2nd, 2007 at NVC and I spoke w/an agent there earlier this week. He explained they were trying to get us an appointment this month, but nothing was available yet. So we're hoping that this gets taken care of by July at the latest. Sorry for those who got approved in May, and good luck...seems like a ####### shoot to me.

Hey Elm

would you mind putting your dates in here? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69462

there aren't very many of us CR1/IR1 types and two of us (Neiks and myself) have atypical timelines. I think it'd be helpful for the people further back in the process

thanks
