Well :

Steve Miller was the architect of the plan and he has said some very alt-right things. He does not belong in the Whitehouse.

Muslims have been disproportionately affected and the numbers of Muslims coming to America has dropped precipitously after the ban was put in place. I am sure some Jews and Christians were caught up in the ban but if one did intended to have a Muslim ban, mission accomplished.

Too bad Saudis are not in that ban, mostly Shia's

Wow..... Just Wow.....🙀🤣

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or KSA for short is pretty much 90% Sunni not Shia. The majority Shia countries are Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon.

It's hard for it to be a Muslim ban when it leaves out the biggest Islamic country in the world which is Indonesia

I wasn't clear:

Saudis are Sunni. Many of our terrorist threats have links to Saudis, financial or directly but the Saudi's are US "allies".

There clearly exports of state sponsorship of  terrorist  from Iran, but are we ignorant of the threat from Saudi citizens?

My point being, if you are trying to keep Americans safer, baning some sects  and countries while ignoring the risk of not having effective individual screening from others is not going to keep you safe.

"US HALTS SAUDI MILITARY TRAINING AFTER FLORIDA BASE SHOOTING
On December 6, a Saudi Air Force second lieutenant killed three people and wounded eight others in an unexplained shooting rampage at a U.S. Navy base in Florida where he was training, said U.S. officials. Sheriff’s deputies responding to the early-morning incident shot and killed the gunman, who was armed with a handgun at the U.S. Naval Station in Pensacola, Navy and local law enforcement officials said.

Four days later, the Pentagon announced it was halting operational training of all Saudi Arabian military personnel in the United States until further notice. The decision will have far-reaching impacts on visiting Saudi personnel, including grounding more than 300 Saudi Arabian military aviation students as part of a “safety stand-down,” reported Reuters earlier on Tuesday."

The visas affected are distinct from non-immigrant visitor visas, which will not be impacted by the ban, Wolf said.

While thats the official policy I have a feeling the NIV are going to be going under much more scrutiny. The overstay numbers are so high from those countries that the chance of people trying to circumvent the ban by going the tourist route is bound to go up.

The travel ban only applies to those who are apply for visa's at US consulates/embassy's. Those already in the US with GCs are unaffected

Summary:

President Donald Trump may expand his controversial travel ban with an announcement expected as early as Monday, the three-year anniversary of the original order, which targeted several majority-Muslim nations.

The list of countries is not yet final and could be changed, but nations under consideration for new restrictions include

Belarus,

Myanmar (also known as Burma),

Eritrea,

Kyrgyzstan,

Nigeria,

Sudan

and Tanzania,

according to two people familiar with the matter.

You proceed as normal.  If it gets to an interview then the CO could recommend a waiver.  Nigeria could also cleanup their issues like Chad did and be removed from the ban list.

It is down there on the list with many of the other banned countries.  https://www.henleypassportindex.com/assets/2020/Q1/HENLEY PASSPORT INDEX 2020 Q1 INFOGRAPHIC GLOBAL RANKING_191219.pdf

Hello Can someone clarify if this is going to affect me?
I am a Canadian Citizen since 2013.
I currently have conditional Permanent Resident in U.S.

I currently have pending application to remove condition submitted 12 months ago.
I travel to Canada once a week, my in U.S is about 20 minute drive from the border.
Currently in Canada, and hoping to go back to U.S. on Monday.
My country of birth(COB) is one of those recently ban.
I have never been to COB in about 10 years.
Again, should I get a lawyer to help me cross back to U.S?
