Hey all, my fiance (UK) has been planning to visit me (US) starting sometime next month and lasting until end of March or mid-April, but we just received our NOA2 today. I'm wondering if there are any time deadlines that he would need to be at home for? Our petition is still just en route to NVC, so we're still a few weeks out from his embassy passing it on to him, but if he's with me and their packet sits at home for a few weeks to a month, will there be an issue? Should we cancel our plans, or can he just fill out the packets after he returns? Thank you.

129F is valid for 4 months from approval.  You need to do medical, schedule interview, have the interview etc in that four months.

Thank you, I guess that answers that! So either we'll shorten our plans or skip it altogether :( Been missing him since 2018--hopefully the rest of this goes faster for us now.

In some cases the embassy can extend the validity of the 129F. If you really want it you could try emailing them once they receive the petition from NVC and see if they are willing to extend it's validity.

Just make the US trip a but shorter is you want.   You can track when CEAC sends it to the consulate.   If it like other consulates they probably don't send him anything physical.  He can help you fill out the I-134 and get your other documents together.  I lived with my wife when we filed for our spousal and she was amazed by the process.
