Vaccination Supplement

We're running into a bit of a problem. C. had the blood titres done for the interview, but the doctor there never gave him a copy, just a sealed envelope with the results, which he took back to the civil surgeon. The blood titre place will not give C. his records; they'll only release them to a physician.

The civil surgeon will not now release the results of the blood titres to C. because they're 'the property of the U.S. government', not C.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how we might wriggle a copy of his vaccination records out of these guys? Our thought is perhaps to find the local civil surgeon here, and have *him* request the records from the blood titre place.

That would be my first thought, to have the civil surgeon do it. We used Dr. Bernard Dolin (91 Hillhouse Road, Goshen, CT 06756 (860) 491-3005) for the vaccination supplement and found him to be fairly inexpensive and helpful. My husband actually had to get a couple of vaccines which raised the price a bit. Emancipation referred us to Dr. Dolin and I believe only paid a nominal fee for her immunization record to be transcribed to the supplement form.

Yep we only paid 25$ for Dr. Dolin - he's a sweet man and it's a beautiful drive up there to Goshen!

Do you want the results just incase CIS looses your Vaccination suppliment? I'm confused as to why getting the results is so important?

I want the results from the titres he had done in January so he doesn't have to get them redone *now* in order to have the Vaccination Supplement completed. C. has no records of his childhood vaccinations, so we had the titres done at the medical to prove that he had been vaccinated. Since we don't have a copy of those, we can't have the surgeon transfer them.

I think all the talk of civil surgeons has me confused - I was trying to figure out how in Canada he had seen a Civil Surgeon sorry!

So right now you want to get the supplemental done, and now all you have is the worksheet and no "proof" of vaccinations for the US surgeon states side.

Dr. Dolan has a particular beef with the immigration process and the GOV making it hard. You could try calling him and explaining your situation to him. He won't want to charge you for something you've already done and paid for. He's very empathetic to the immigration process and how much it costs. He may try from his end to get the results.

Like Emacipation said, call the doctor in Canada and ask if you can get a copy.

Okay, I think I understand now. The blood titres were done at a lab. The lab won't release to anyone that isn't a doctor. Can C. ask his family physician in Canada to get the results? Then he can use that and any other documentation that his vaccinations are up to date to get a civil surgeon in the U.S. to fill out a vaccination supplement.
