Hi! I'm new to this site. I have a question. I'm currently filing AOS and EAD, the EAD requests an alien registration # or I-94 number. Which is which? I'm a little confused as to what numbers I should use. Can anyone help me out?

You will find your A # listed on your NOA2 for your I-129F. My wife's A # was handwritten on to her I-94 when she entered the USA but the one on your NOA2 should be easier to read.

Good luck!

The I-94 number is about the 12 or so digits on the I-94 form given to you on board the plane before u entered the US. I am not too sure if you have your A # yet. The Alien number will be made available to you whiles you are in the process of adjusting. So work with the 1-94 number now and the A # will come later. It also depends on the category u are classified, be it K, H or whatever. Good luck.

What visa did you come to the USA on, you don't say. It makes a difference because some people here on visas don't have a A#, in fact mostly only people with K visas have them before they file for an I-130/I-485.
