Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me out with this. I just called NVC today and they told me they received my case but no number assigned yet. They also told me that I cannot schedule anything until it is sent to the consulate in CDJ and I get a letter. With this being said, I know many people schedule an interview once they have the NVC case number. Is this recommended for Mexico? How long does it usually take to get the famous Packet 3/4. I know it is hard to schedule an appointment at CDJ so I am just trying to stay ahead of the game. I have also read that worst case scenario you can get a copy of that letter before the interview. My fiance lives in Mexico City so he would have to do medical and fingerprints in Mexico City but then he will also need this letter for those appointments? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

It is a K-1 visa, by the way.
