Help please I am really starting to panic here

Hello,

so to keep it short, I am under Administrative Processing since around 3 weeks, and the application portal used to show "Your passport is still with the US embassy" but today I checked and I found nothing there, I went to check my visa status and it's still Administrative Processing, I really don't know what that means! I have sent them an email but they didn't reply yet, does anyone here know anything about what this might be?

Administrative processing means they’re still looking at your case. Visa issuance has a lot of steps that aren’t often written anywhere. Security background checks, verifying documents, confirming persons on sponsor documents, verifying signatures, checking each document again for completeness. 
 

no need to panic or freak out or anything. Some countries have administrative processing as a norm. Some people are in AP for a couple weeks, couple months, couple years. depends on the risk factor of the country and multiple other things as well.
