Just out of curiosity, has anyone’s spouse attended a green card interview while service member is deployed? Was it approved on the spot?. My spouse attended her interview today with all required documents including my deployment orders. The officer even granted her opportunity to FaceTime me at the end of the interview and we both we both exchanged greetings. Profile got updated to “initial review”. Is this common? is there a possibility they’ll want me for another interview after I redeploy in the next 6 months? Thank you

This is very common and actually very good. They usually tend to be pretty awesome in regards to spouses of deployed service members.

Oh thank you. I’m hoping for that approval email. Fingers crossed.

The status changed to “card in production” today. Thank you!
