I have done all that and I'm basically ready to schedule my interview, and yes it is still frustrating because the slowness of the process is not allowing us to be together. We know several couple who just got married and requested the visa afterwards (different visa of course) and it works just as well, so any wait is frustrating when you decide to play by the rules because we both know  the K1 is just the way to ask for "permission" rather than just imposing things on the US government.

I have no sympathy for those who get a NOA2 approval in 3 months and then want to cry about being away from their fiance because the process isn't moving as fast as they like..

apparently you don't have much sympathy for anything given the way your replies are often void of any benevolence, but thanks anyway!

No because after 6 years of helping people here, those that complain the most are the ones who have nothing to complain about. I know how this system works. I know that you don't have to check your status everyday or every hour. People set their expectations to high and when they are not met they are disappointed. I tell people that the system does work and you need to trust the system. You will not be able to move this along any faster. You and million others who are seeking a visa I'm sure feel the same that you do but it's how they handle it that makes them able to survive and to go on to receive a visa and immigrate to the US.

I indeed see you do not need my help so I will wish you a process that a visa will materialize from. Best to you.

Head on over to the NOA2 to Embassy monthly thread and download the PDF file from the first post of this thread. Lots of your questions will be answered for this stage.

I am the petitioner. We have NOA2. Trying to find out if we have a case number yet.
I called NVC to find out if we got a case number assigned.
Automated system keeps telling me that everyone is busy and they are not able to take my call.

My mail address in usa is secure but I am just looking for another way to find our case number.

Is there a way to find my case number online?

I have checked https://ceac.state.gov/   but i need a case number to do a search for my case.

Thank you for your answers.

In our case, we received an e-mail from NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov nearly a month after NOA2 with the case no. etc. Two weeks later, we got another e-mail from the consulate on how to apply for the visa and prepare for the interview (packet 3). Not aware of a way to find case details online without a case number. I see from your time line that you received your NOA2 on 12/23 so  it could be any day now that NVC receives your info, forward it to the consulate and notify you. Best of luck.
