fiance finally arrived. But we faced some odd things.

1) My fiance went to apply for SSN after marriage and we got in mail with a note: "valid for work only with DHC authorization". But she did not apply for EAD. So my question is how is it possible that she received SSN without having EAD? and what do we do next, should we send form for EAD together with AOS
2) should we mention her SSN in the AOS form?

3) if we send 2 forms together, should we add repetitive documents for each form? (example copy of birth certificate is needed in both forms).  should we add 2 cover letter for each form separately?

4) is the fee for i-765 completely waived in case if we send 2 forms together? biometric too?

Yes, i have read the AOS guild and i have seen the note: Include any additional required supporting documentation or photos as well as payment as noted here. its pretty confusing, since i have also read that you don't need to pay the fee.

4) Does Affidavit of support requires same evidence i sent for the first time?   I sent only Statement from an officer of the bank and Copy of last income tax return last time.

1.  An EAD and a SSN are 2 separate entities. A SSN, alone, gives no right to work in the US....thus the statement on the card. Her SSN is useful for other things.  She is not authorized to work in the US until she receives either an EAD or a Green Card.

SSN and EAD are separate things.

SSN is for taxes and social benefits. EAD is authorization to work.

Yes copies for each form.   They do  not necessarily get processed together.

Cover letter - for each form listing attachments is what I use.

Send updated documents if you have them.

Same as the I-131. Send it with the AOS and the fee is waived.

That is normal. Also, it's "DHS" not DHC.

Yes. Also, Form I-131 is optional but also free. See I-485 instructions Page 16: https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-485instr.pdf "If you properly file Form I-485 and pay the required fees, you may file Form I-765 and Form I-131 without paying additional fees. You may file these forms together, or if you choose to file Form I-765 or Form I-131 separately, you must also submit a copy of your I-797C, Notice of  Action, receipt as evidence that you filed and paid for Form I-485."

Send updated info for Form I-864.
