I second this.  The people at VisaMedical were incredibly helpful and had lots of availability.  Hang in there @nickyducky, you're nearly there!!!

......and if you require overnight accom try Mandevill Hotel. Its a 2 minute walk to VisaMedical at Bentinck Mansions.

Anyone have an estimation of how long it takes to have passport returned via DX courier if the visa is approved at interview?

I was interviewed on Monday in August and had the visa in hand on the Friday.

For us, he was interviewed on Thursday and had the passport by the next Friday. But we do live in the very north of England and DX was initially supposed to deliver on the Tuesday but dragged their feet for days. My personal opinion would be if you're collecting it from a depot or hub you have a better chance than if you're waiting for them to deliver it to your house.

Medical booked for Monday, and going to be checking out interview dates tonight hopefully to get that booked ASAP!! Everything moving quite quickly now! (We need it to as well, especially with threats of local lockdowns everywhere at the moment) ☺️

Hooray!! Glad you got it so soon. Hope it all moves quickly for you. 

 

I'm pretty anxious about the prospect of "circuit-breaks" and local lockdowns. I fly out on Saturday and my husband and the kids on the 29th. Lots could change between now and then!!

Hi Stu. Since you’ve done your medical already, can you tell me if you needed to fast for blood tests? My medical is booked for 10:30am so I’m wondering if I should hold off on breakfast until after the medical. Is that a requirement?

No. My Medical was 10:10AM. I was not requested to fast...…thinking about it I think I missed breakfast and didn't eat until after the medical.

Congratulations on getting your visa's approved!  It is such a heart wrenching experience being separated from your loved ones.  If you don't mind me asking how long has it taken you to get your interview from being notified that all your documents are completed?  I received an email from NVC last week saying they have received everything and my file is now complete, that they will now be scheduling me for interview.  I'm just grateful to have gotten to this stage right now, but wondering how long people are waiting to actually get an interview.

Hi. We did DCF filing so our documents did not go through the NVC and we were able to schedule our own interview. I think this thread is specific to DCF so any timelines listed on here would probably not be relevant to your case.
