Trying to get an appointment to register him / get his US passport and social security number is also near on impossible..

I just sent a 2nd Contact Form. Fingers crossed.

Received a response basically saying there is a "significant backlog" and the IVU "will be in touch in due course......" This must surely be a standard reply?.

 

This response does not even attempt to address the points I raised eg the way in which this paperwork is being handled given the comparison of approval dates and receipt of LND.

 

Need to now just wait and see what happens.

 

Very disappointed with this response. Even if a response of original thought had been sent and had at least tried to answer my point, that would be much more acceptable. Disappointing!

 

I guess the only positive in this is there actually someone there reading contact queries.

No i already have my appointment booked I just randomly logged on to see. About 1:30 and they were there. Just checked and they are gone now. I would keep checking throughout the day/s as they seem to do this. Bring them up and then take them down. Very strange.

Yes, my petition was approved on the 9th June. 
Finger crossed for everyone else for their numbers. 
After spending 3 hours on the DS260, there isn’t any slots for the interview! Hopefully they will open up more!

I’m actually not quite sure. It does seem to require both LND and DS260 number to book the interview though!
