Hi Stu, now that your I-130 petition is approved, your spouse departing the UK has no impact or bearing on your spousal visa application. At this point, it probably makes the most sense for her to do this.

Pretty much this exactly. Long as the I-130 has been approved, the USC can move back over whenever they want while the rest is in process.

In retrospect, what I said wasn't completely accurate - technically, the USC could have moved back the day the I-130 petition itself was filed rather than waiting for approval. Whether anyone would actually check to confirm the exact date the spouse moves back, I'm not sure....

Still nothing in the mail. I responded to their email from last week that stated they forwarded my request from 7/31 on to the IVU. Their response to me today was this: Due to COVID-19 we are currently experiencing a backlog. The Immigrant Visa Unit will contact you with directly with information on how to proceed with your application in due course.

I replied back that I understood this, but that many of those who had I-130s approved after mine have gotten their LDN number and that I was concerned ours was lost in the post. No idea if they will do anything more than just keep saying to be patient. :(

Sorry you have not received your LND today. I know how you feel - although you have been waiting much longer than I. I too cant understand why the timeline of others which are not disimilar to mine have heard yet still the wait goes on. In my case, the only thing I can put it down to is the RFE we received.

Have to say, my focus has begun to wander......Spain looks nice😑

Maybe tomorrow.

I hear you there. It's annoying because I know we can and should be approved, but i don't want to head back to the states until we are to that point. What's worse, is I've been called back off of furlough starting tomorrow and I hate my job with a passion. It actually gives me anxiety attacks when I'm there. :(

I saw someone on Facebook had her USC called their congressman/congresswoman to help, their visa case actually got sped up by doing so. I don’t know if it was luck but I’m gonna try that too.

I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you guys, and I sincerely hope you hear back soon.

On another note, still can't find any available interview slots. Perhaps I'm checking at the wrong times/not frequently enough.

I'm going to give them a few days to respond to my most recent email. If not, I have my congressman's page saved.

Just gotta keep trying to find a slot. Does trying at different times of day eg midnight, 2AM etc, make any difference? I know that sounds a bit rediculous but ya never know.🙂

I've looked some mornings and been nothing, then later on in the afternoon some appeared (this was last week and prior). Not sure what time though, or if there is any pattern to it. Perhaps there once was, but that's probably out the window for now. Given where we are in August, its likely when they do open up some appointments it will be for September. Also worth noting I dont think appointments just get swallowed up. I saw availability for my time (10am) on there even after I booked it. And really, how many people can there actually be visiting the embassy for visas right now? From the reviews so far, it's been practically empty.

Seems like those that got interviews were on a Monday or Thursday so that limits availability. They’re open, but not full blown open. As far as dates, September has been open for maybe three weeks. They will open the October calendar toward the end of the month and maybe they can open another day of the week for September if they have enough people there working.

You're not alone in the wait.

My I-130 was approved March 16 and I still have nothing, I understand there are delays, but this is just getting increasingly frustrating and silly now. Not really sure what to do .....

There are many who would agree.

Hopefully if not today then this week🙂

Has anyone whos still waiting been able to speak to actual human on the telephone? I've tried a variety of number but can never seem to get through to anyone.

Would be really nice to just know whats going on. Has been sent and lost in the post? Am I still waiting to be processed? I dont mind the wait, it is what it is, its just the lack of information that makes me worry

I think your point "lost in post" is very valid. The implications of such a position are significant. The difficulty is, as you say, to whom within process, do we speak?
