I have been doing it every other day, and I just got a message saying “Please be patient...” no joke.

LOL I've not even got that.

Guys, after 12 weeks I got an email with my LND number. I received it at 11:39am. No appointment availability showing up yet unfortunately.

Congratulations.

An email? Wow that seems unusual given other recent recipients received letters in the post.

Still no joy this end😔

Well at least i got some kind of reply (or at least acknowledgement) that they have forwarded my original online inquiry on.

Thank you for your email.

We forwarded your email on July 31 to our colleagues in the Immigrant Visa Unit, and they will be in touch with you directly regarding information on how to proceed with your application. Please bear with them.

Still no luck finding an available appointment slot on the Embassy booking system. I wonder if there's an "optimal" time to look? On the other hand, Visamedicals have plenty of availability and can book you in for the following week.

I foresee this to be the next issue. Could that be another reason for the release of LNDs in dribs n drabs? I wonder.......

Long time lurker here, wanted to let you all know that we received the LND number in the mail this morning. We filed our petition via DCF on March 4, 2020 and were approved on 13 May so it's been just over 13 weeks if my counting is correct. We haven't checked appointment availability yet but so relieved to be back in the driving seat. Wishing you all the best of luck, at least things are slowly moving even if in a very strange way.

Congratulations🙂 Good luck in the next steps. It will be most helpful if you would let us all know how things proceed.

Still nothing here😔 Getting very hacked off at waiting. Right now, like most who have been and indeed continue to be wait for that elusive LND, our lives are passing us by.

Dude you need to have some patience... You are not even 5 months in. It will happen.

We are all being as patient as we can, however, with us being DCF, 5 months is actually long.  I saw you are having to go the NVC route, so your timeframe will have been longer so 5 months may seem like not much. But, in most instances, the DCF route is quite quick. From NOA approval, we are 'supposed' to have our LDN number within 5 weeks. Hence the frustration by some here. :)

Yip it's very frustrating either route. Working out timelines can be freak one out, especially with all the backlogs. Hope not too long for all of us!

Need some guidance please.

With the ever lasting wait for an LND Number and having now sold our house (we are moving to rented accommodation), my USC spouse and I are thinking about the way to proceed.

The date of shipping our belongings is fast approaching (next Monday August 21 2020) and we need to complete the Import Forms and return them to the Shippers; we have a bit of a dilemma. The US Customs Form 3299 asks for a date of our arrival in US. Clearly this is not something that we have right now.

The plan we are now considering is:

My USC Wife will return to the US 8-9 weeks (week commencing October 12) after our belongings are collected from UK (August 21) for shipping to USA (we understand the shipping time is around 6 -12 weeks).

The question is what impact on our DCF application does her departing UK and returning to US with me remaining in UK? The benefit of her move before me means she can organise a job and also an apartment for us both to live. However this all depends on any adverse impact on her leaving UK before our DCF application is finalised.

Grateful for all advice.

Hi Stu, now that your I-130 petition is approved, your spouse departing the UK has no impact or bearing on your spousal visa application. At this point, it probably makes the most sense for her to do this.

She could have left once the petition was filed.
