Well nothing in the post today and still no response to the online form I sent. I did send a fresh email to the unit to see if that will work (based the email on the email that I got from the first time I filled out their form months ago). Will see if this works better. :)

This lack of response just adds to the frustration of not knowing.

Maybe next week some of us will receive that envelope🙂

Of course, reading an earlier post, getting a date for a medical and/or interview may be the next challenge.

Enjoy your weekend, folks.....I gotta go pack boxes😂

It does. I just want to get hubby's medical before October.  Then his interview in October.  Hopefully we get some kind of response.

Further to one of my previous posts, currently the DS 5540 should not be required. The state reference can be found here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/update-on-public-charge.html

I'll probably still make sure we have it with us (when the time comes) just in case, but at least now we know why they haven't been asking for it.

Interestingly, someone on the BritishExpats forum (whose I-130 approval date was 29th June - the same as @Appy ) also received their LND number on the 6th of August. It is interesting that two people whose I-130s were approved after other people in this thread (who have yet to hear anything) have already received their LND numbers. Coincidentally, my I-130 approval date (and I believe @Stuwoolf's) was also the 29th of June, but we haven't heard yet. I guess there's no rhyme nor reason as to what order the LND numbers are being sent out, but at least there has been some promising progress. Keep telling myself that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and we will get there soon :)

Very interesting (and frustrating lol). If I don't get a response from either the online form or my email by mid next week, I may try and call the embassy. I'm 'trying' to be patient, but I'm losing it quickly. :(

Frustrating? Yep. Agreed.

Just checked the Embassy website and this refers to the Contact Form.

"We aim to respond to visa inquiries within 5 working days of receipt.  If you have not had a response within 5 working days, please check your email provider’s “spam” folder, BEFORE resending a form.

Please note that if the answer to your inquiry is on our website, you will not receive a response."

Cant think of anything which would suggest an enquiry concerning LND could be considered to be in the info posted on the Embassy website.🤷‍♂️

I guess the reason for no response could be volume of work?

Yes, there does appear to be an anomaly regarding date of Approval and receipt of LND.🤷‍♂️

Maybe next week🤞🤞🤞

Imagine the mail from USCIS London piling up unattended in one of those mail tote things. First in is at the bottom. When the IV Unit opened again they start grabbing from the top instead of dumping the whole bin and rereorganizing by date. Plausible.

Interesting and entirely possible. However does that explain how those who received Approval on the same date appear to be receiving LND Numbers at different times?🤔 Of course, maybe those letters are in the post? Next week could be a BIG week for some.🙂

Fingers crossed......

I think you may be right there @Wuozopo.

We weren't expecting anything in the mail today, so didn't bother checking, but I glanced at my mail box on my way out of the house this evening and to my great surprise found an envelope from the US Embassy containing our LND number.

As stated above, our I-130 approval date was the 29th of June. Petition was physically mailed to the USCIS Field Office on the 16th of March (i.e. the week lockdown started). I know there are people in this thread who received their I-130 approvals before I did, and I sincerely hope that everyone else finds out about their LND numbers soon. I have a feeling there will be a few sent out this week.

Congratulations. Thats great news. Given what has been said previously about the limited opening of the Embassy Mail Room, perhaps the Mail Room is doing it Tuesday and Thursday?

Still dont have any idea of how the LND Number letters are being managed.🤷‍♂️

Maybe next week🤞

Ah man I’m so happy to see this! They’re starting to come through! May be no obvious order on date but they’re doing it and working through them!

Exactly. They are just grabbing cases and getting through the pile. Immigration does not work in exact date order. To the folks knocking out the work, a week or month is not a huge difference, whereas you lot waiting are thinking two hours is a huge difference.  I think we can all agree that somebody is working on those numbers now, and should get through the last of the DCFs  this month, if not next week.

Meanwhile do you all have your shot record, police certificate, healthcare summary, or special GP reports (if needed) .so you could go to your medical ASAP.  Does your police certificate say No Trace as opposed to No Live Trace?  Have you figured out dates of all your trips to the US so you can knock out that DS-260 as well as address and employment dates.

Love how you’re still British. ‘You lot’. Wife always laughs at me for that saying.

Thats the thing, there is maybe a vague order to all this. But overall, not really. Luck of the draw at this point but ultimately, they’re all going to come through soon and in no specific order. Last of the DCF’s as I’m often quoting!

thanks for the advance advice. I have shot records, health summary - turns out I need MMR round 2 plus Tetnus (Turns our my Mum didn’t get me the second MMR?!). No trace confirmed (those nights I forgot, I was apparently well behaved) . Also one thing I’d say having done the DS260 last week is all your physical addresses since 16. that was the toughest part for me.
