We submitted our petition on the 21st of March, after the office had closed for COVID. Our petition was approved on June 29 and we just received our LDN number yesterday. Hope this helps anyone still waiting.

Wow, you were approved after me and I'm still waiting on our LDN number. :( We were approved June 16th.

Omg. So where is ours? We were approved March 16!!!!!!!!

Maybe they posted all the letters at the same time, but due to the difference of regions, someone got it a bit earlier? I remember someone in this forum got his letter from USCIS a few days before I did even though our approval was on the same day. Finger crossed for everyone!

Congratulations. This is significant news. May I ask: did you receive your LND number in the post or was this via e-mail?

Thats fantastic news to hear that LDN numbers are getting out. Congrats.

Something a bit fishy going on though. I got my I-130 approval on March 16th. How they have sent out your LDN number before mine when you were approved on 29th June (some 15 weeks AFTER me) is beyond me?

I just want to say thank you for finding the positive in this, @Mpere.  My mom has just been scheduled for emergency surgery today by her clinical team at Penn and I just had to turn down a job because they wanted a start date of September 3rd and this nearly tipped me over the edge.

@Appy that is so incredibly exciting for you, I hope the rest of your journey is smooth.  Give us a heads up on what kind of appointments are still available, if you would.  I know the ones from NVC had dates in mid and late September.

Yes, I suspect some questions are going to be raised since there are a few people following this thread who were approved just before lockdown came into effect and still haven't received their LND numbers.

Exactly this. Complete happy and over the moon for Appy, but it does beg the question as to the status of those approved prior. Could be delivery is slower to certain areas, but it would be nice to at least know they'd been issued. I've yet to even get an email response to my online form submitted last Friday. Hubby and I want to get our appointments booked, but can't until this precious number is available. But again, I'll never not be happy for those who are getting what they are waiting on. Just frustrated on the delay.

Congratulations! Great to hear some positive news.

All The Best on the next stages of your journey.

As for the timeline, perhaps it is a bit chaotic at Visa Unit?

Hang on folks, good news may just be around the corner🙂

@Robyn-n-Kris and  @Cauldron I think we got incredibly lucky. We were not going to get worried until the end of August.

@Mpere no, we did not apply for an expedited appointment

@os306 I received it via post

@AlanD26 I wonder if things got a bit hectic leading up to the closure of the office?

@The4Sands That's horrific, I'm so sorry. This whole process can be really unfair. I will let you know about the interview dates.

@Stuwoolf Thank you! It will be good to have some certainty about when we can go back to the US.

Just checked. Right now only 24th August which is when mine is booked for. But the other day they had more, then they vanished, then came back etc. All in August.

Thanks for the update. Another question is do we need to bring the letter which has the LND number with us to the interview? I’m moving flat next week, wonder what happens if I don’t receive the letter somehow? I know we only need the LND to book an interview. :)

You don’t need the letter at the interview. You will have an automated appointment verification email to show. But how will you get that far (to schedule an interview) if you don’t receive the letter with your case number?
