Did they send you a bunch of questions(name, petition approval date etc) after you filled out the online form?

Not yet, but I saw what questions they had asked someone else and included the question/answers into the online form I sent. :)

This is Week 5 of our 5-8 Week period mentioned in our i-130 Approval letter. Maybe my timeline wont be so far away😉😊

Altogether now "......always look on the bright side of life......"😂😂😂

Weirdly, my letter said "approximately 5 weeks", funny there's no standard, you think they'd be using a template.  Although, USCIS can pretty much say whatever they want in their letter, it doesn't mean that the IVU is going to do it (or more graciously, is able to do it given the current situation).

Here's hoping this week brings good news 🤞

I'm on week 7. I did fill out their online form but no idea how fast they will respond (if at all) to it.

Think we will wait till the 8 Week point is passed. Otherwise, enquiring before 8 Weeks may simply result in a response of "you were previously advised 5-8 Weeks". Unless, of course, there appears to be some movement and perhaps worthwhile chasing them up before 8 Weeks.

My physical approval letter also says "5 weeks", however, when we e-mailed the Field Office to ask for an update (before the approval letter actually arrived) their e-mail stated "In five to eight (5 to 8 weeks, your spouse should be receiving his case number (LND2020 XXX XXX) from the U.S. Consulate and instructions to complete the immigrant visa processing."

I did contact the IVU using the contact form on the website a few days ago and was almost immediately sent the standard list of questions (petitioner name etc.) that others have received. No response since then.

I'm guessing LND numbers will be sent out in chronological order from the date I-130 forms were handed over by the Field Office. This is why @Morgan5698 (who was approved in March) was one of the first to receive theirs.

In my online form I advised my letter stated 5 weeks (since that was the case). Who knows if/when they will respond. Figured it didn't hurt to try.

I was surprised mine came, you'd like to think there is method to the madness so it does indicate some form of chronological order. Realistically given my letter was dated about 2 weeks before I received it, indicates there could be a delay from writing up the letter to posting it. I'd be willing to bet they have already assigned all or most of your case numbers as they're working through this stuff, it's just the time it's taking to process everything and get it out. I'm keeping an eye on the forum as I'm hoping to see some good news any day  now for you all

Just checked our records and, yes, email says 5-8 weeks and letter 5 Weeks.

Perhaps now is the right time to ask for an update🤔

Interesting point. Maybe it is worthwhile making contact?

Nice! Our post hasn't shown up today , so fingers still crossed. I also sent in the online form yesterday to ask about the LDN. Will be curious if they respond to it. :)

Do you have a link to the online form you used?

They won't. I had to tailor it down quite a bit to make everything that seemed important fit in. :) Nothing in the post today for me. So still waiting.

Same here.  Well, not nothing, but not my LND, hah.

My oldest kid just got his renewed British passport in the post.  I forgot they were going to be blue.  And it's so fancy inside!  Here's hoping they get back to me about my citizenship some time soon.  One good side to the delay with the green card stuff is that it gives me a chance to get my British citizenship before we go.  Silver linings and all that...

My original hope was to manage living here long enough to do that. I didn't make a year before we applied to go back. Just not for everyone. :)

I keep telling myself that no matter how frustrating the situation is at the US Embassy in London, it's nowhere near the stress/anxiety that people applying for UK visas (spousal or otherwise) are going through https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/uk-visa-delay-coronavirus-pandemic-immigration-a9636531.html.

I doubt if the difficulty of applying for UK Visas will ever change. The personal experience of applying for the UK Spouse Visa and the frustration and helplessness attached to that experience will linger with me for a very long time. Up until this pandemic, I often considered how the US visa application system was far better than the UK. In fairness, our experience so far, the issues which we, and indeed many others, have experienced places no blame or shortcomings on the US system. Certainly that I am aware of.
