Are you able to pick an interview date now? I just wonder how soon you would be able to book one after you get the LND. My residency in the UK is gonna expire soon, and I still haven’t heard anything back from them :(

With an LND number, you should be able book the interview immediately because your case is already with the IV Unit in London who issued your LND case number.  You will pick— I have been notified by the embassy to book an appointment (or something to that effect) to get started. Even if you haven’t actually received a letter  from the embassy saying to book, pick that reason. The online system doesn’t know if you got a letter or not.

(For K1s who also book online, they often call NVC to get their case number Early, but have to wait until the case is at the consulate before the system recognizes them and lets them into the booking site. Assuming you should get in because your case is already there.)

Ok great. Thanks for the advice. I'm nearly finished with the DS-260 now, been at it for an hour and 40 mins. So i'll try what you suggest as soon as i'm done.

Thanks for the update! Please let us know the earliest available date you could see when you book the interview:) I’d like to know how soon that can be, so can get a approximated timeline!

Right guys I'm done. DS-260 took me about 2 hours. Then I logged on and there were a few appointments in August so I grabbed the latest I could 24th Aug at 09:30. There were some before then but i figured these were just too soon as I still need to arrange my medical. Sadly there was nothing after say in September, so I've got a few things I need to do quickly over next 2 weeks! Perhaps I can change nearer the time if I get lucky. It was just some really random dates for interview so I wonder if i just managed to get lucky on some slots that opened up. Below is a screen shot of what they have available. I'll keep an eye on it regularly, firstly to let you guys know how its looking and secondly to see if I can get a slightly later and nicer time!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I can see hope now. My I-130 got approved on June 9th, I guess it may just take them a bit longer to get the files from USCIS. Good luck on the interview and everything else! It is almost there :)

That looks like they are doing appointments only on Monday and Thursday (at least for spouses).

You know, I didn't even notice that. Think i'm so tired at this point from working all day then answering the hundred odd questions from the DS-260 - I'm beat! I'll keep an eye on it and see if more slots open.

Thank you! I really am hoping you all get your case number very very soon! Stuff is going on there clearly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everybody! Also worth mentioning I had the option after booking my appointment to check the status of my DS-260.  It clearly states they created my LND number the day after my I-130 was approved, so they've been sitting on this for over 4 months!

Thanks for sharing @Morgan5698 this is very useful.

I’m here trying to calculate your date of approval, my approval date, the date of the last approval before lockdown and the first day approvals restarted in May... to figure when I’ll be getting my LND ha

And what are the odds... I get home from work and there is a letter from the embassy dated 9th July with my LND number. Guys I think you’re all going to be getting your LND pretty soon!

....given the date of your letter, I guess there may be a number of letters awaiting release via the embassy post room.

Good luck everyone 🙂

Here's what it tells me. They received and allocated me an LND number the day after my I-130 was approved (16 Mar). Then the letter saying 'We've received A petition.....' arrives yesterday dated 9th July. It shows they were doing nothing with all this throughout Apr-Jun, but at least since 9th July they are working on this stuff.  Likely they were writing up the admin around 9th July to now then the mail room perhaps started operating very recently. Indicative that departments are catching up and opening in bits. I'm really hopeful we are going to have another LND received in this group today!

This would make perfect sense. Especially with today being the last day the USCIS is open in London, they would have gotten any approved I-130s to the Embassy quickly. I know items stayed in the mail room forever to process, so the same may hold true on sending things out.
