Guys I've just received my LND Number. A couple of weeks ago I sent a simple message on their contact form explaining I was now at 18 weeks. They sent A standard reply with a bunch of questions and I answered them not expecting to hear anything back as I've seen this done before. I've just received the following Email. I really hope this gives everyone a bit of hope that they are actually moving with this now. Maybe I got lucky of maybe it was due to the time it has been since approval (16 March) and they are processing these now and mine was easy to access as it was on its way through processing anyway.

Amazing news! I got my I-130 approval on the same day so am going to send them a message.

Is this the contact form you used to get in contact with them? - https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/iv-contact_form/

Thanks guys. I hope this is some positive indication things are happening now.

This is what I got, I replied in the body of the text. I've blanked out the personal stuff but left the rest in so you can see what I did.

Thank you so much for this. Silly question. Who is considered the applicant and who is the petitioner?  I know for the I-130 I was the applicant. How did you put it?

No problem, anything I can do to help! The applicant was me (UK) the petitioner is my wife (US). Just note to be careful in the name format (SURNAME, Given Names). As in PITT, Brad - Yes that is me.

I think it's worth it, especially as you had the same timeline. Given how close our approvals were to lock down, I dont think they didn't even have a case number for me 7 days ago, and now they do which is why I got lucky here so potentially they are processing these now.

I'm guessing they are working on getting the LDN numbers on the backend while they are playing catch up on the student visas? But who knows. Oh to be a fly on the wall to see what is actually going on there. :)

Are you able to pick an interview date now? I just wonder how soon you would be able to book one after you get the LND. My residency in the UK is gonna expire soon, and I still haven’t heard anything back from them :(

I've often wondered how a London Embassy Consular Officer/USCIS Field Office worker would react if they stumbled across this forum...!

I logged in earlier on and I need to complete the DS-260 part yet and submit my documents etc. So I'm not even close to interview yet by looks of it. Once I get there - Assuming nobody else breezes ahead of me I'll let you all know.

Haha they're probably banned from looking at it!

What documents do you have to upload? Just curious. We went through all of our docs last night to make sure we had everything in order. :)

It was my understanding that any supporting documents (e.g., the I-864 if applicable, marriage certificate, tax transcripts etc.) needed to be brought to the interview itself (this is where DCF differs from applying via the NVC, where you have to submit all your documents online beforehand).

Honestly I'm not really sure yet! I was going to work on it tonight after I finish work and over the weekend. I need to get a few things prepared such as letter from my employer as I'm doing an intercompany transfer to our US subsidiary so using this to cover off the i-864 income requirement rather than using a joint sponsor. It's allowed apparently as I will still effectively be paid from the same employer (its a multinational) but its not a standard approach so need to get it right! Other than that I think I just need to scan most things as I have everything else. So hopefully shouldn't take long, but will let you know! You never know, you may get your LND soon and shoot right past me!

I haven't really looked at it too much yet so I'm not sure - But this is what it says when I login to do the DS-260 (Point 6). I'll read up on it before I start.

Actually forget that - I've just read the website. Looks like you're right - we dont mail anything to the NVC and just complete the form and take the documents to the interview. Good to know! Honestly, this is what happens when I try to multitask.

Yup, this is the big appeal behind applying via DCF - you effectively bypass the NVC and don't have to wait for months for them to approve your supporting documents.

Speaking of DCF, looks like the London Field Office permanently closes its doors tomorrow. If, as alluded to in my previous post, a USCIS Field Officer from the London Office happens to stumble upon this thread: THANK YOU for your service and for your quick responses to our e-mails! 😂
