Thanks. Emailed USCIS.London this morning.

They responded very quickly saying our Petition was APPROVED(!!!!!!) June 29th and our letter was posted June 30th. Such a relief. Usual caveat of 5-8 weeks for LDN. With this positive news that wait is a dawdle!

We are back in the game!

Woohoo!!!

That's great news! Glad they got back to you so quickly.

Oh man, talk about the last minute.  That must have been so stressful!!  Congrats!! Really pleased for you.  Wonder how many (if any) are left to get approval.

Last minute is right. It was close. Stressful too.

Good luck to all involved in the process.

Really happy to hear that everyone else’s I-130 approval are coming through. Welcome to the “Waiting for the LND Number” club :)

Indeed. And farewell to one of the last remaining USCIS Field Office DCF pathways. I'm curious how many other Field Offices around the world still offer this option under normal circumstances.

Good question, though I think the entire DCF route is going away.

Good luck everyone🙂

Isn't it funny how a little thing like a piece of paper in your hand makes such a big difference to how you feel?  Congrats.  Here's hoping it's a bump-free rest of the journey for you!

Of those who have recently recieved notification of approval and have been advised that a 5-8 week wait is likely before receiving LDN, are you thinking you may contact the Visa Unit at USEL and ask if your LDN is available? Having read that an LDN has been made available with such an approach, given the current situation ie reduced staffing at USEL, is this a worthwhile consideration?

My 8week mark is about to pass and I was planning on emailing them too. Have people just contacted them through the form on the site?

I believe The4Sands contacted the IVU a few weeks ago to request an expedited appointment for very valid reasons, however, they have yet to reply. Personally, I don't think people contacting the IVU to ask about their LDN numbers are going to experience much luck right now (although I'm more than happy to be proved wrong!)

Exactly this. I am at week 3 and have been tempted to reach out, but with everything just now starting to reopen for the most part, I'm trying to be patient. Hopefully as staff levels return to normal(ish) things will begin to progress again.

That's correct.  I've contacted them a few times through their web form but either had auto-replies or an email telling me to contact NVC for an expedite, which obviously I can't do. My letter said 5 weeks so if I don't hear anything next week I will try again.

Frustratingly, we still haven't received our approval letter yet in the post. The Field Office did e-mail us last Tuesday to say it was approved on the 29th, and that the letter was going to be mailed out that day, but it seems a bit strange that the physical approval letter has not yet arrived...

We've had loads of trouble with our post since COVID.  My in-laws live in Bedfordshire and items my MIL sends take weirdly varying amounts of time to get to me in the North, sometimes more than a week.  I'm sure it will come soon!!
