Medical done Overall a very smooth process. Felt a bit strange being on the other side of the examination process.

Word of advice: drink a bottle of water on the bus/train ride in, so that you’re ready to go when they ask for the urine sample! Also, if you arrive very early (like I did) Selfridge’s is close by so you can kill some time there.

Nice. Hubby has his next Wednesday.  I'm going with though ill have to wait outside. 4 hour trip to get down there lol

It amazes me that previously (years ago) you used to be able to do your medical in the morning and Embassy interview in the afternoon, and your medical report would already be available to the CO. This doesn't apply to me, but for people living far away from London, two trips into the city is annoying.

Yep, especially since we’re coming from Glasgow. Nice 6.5 hour drive down and back last weekend for the medical, now on a 5 hour train headed back down for the interview 🙄 We probably could’ve stayed the week and a half, but didn’t want to spend the extra money on hotel, food, etc.

Wish Jaclyn could come in with me tomorrow, don't think she'll be able to.  Not nervous per say, just not sure exactly what to expect , if we have everything we need etc. Do hope it goes alright

Snap! Glasgow to London - quite a drive. Hey ho.....it could be worse, we could be still waiting for our number. We should count our blessings

Are you sure? I’ve been around more than a decade and bloodwork tends to take 3 days to get back from the lab. Once they got that back, they used to send the report by courier over to the embassy and it got delivered same day. Some people have done same day medical and interview, but their results wouldn’t be available at the interview. I think the embassy prefers to wrap it all up at one go as the efficient way, but they still make exceptions for those that have to travel long distances...Northern Ireland for example. It just slows the work flow when not complete and they have to backtrack to previous interview dates to pick up the stragglers.

Will just be relieved to hopefully have an answer tomorrow, one way or another.

Hmm...I was sure that I had read a post from someone on the britishexpats forum who described having everything done and approved on the same day back when he went through the process after his first marriage yonks ago. However, I probably misread or misinterpreted what they were saying, and in reality, while they may have had both appointments done on the same day, their actual approval may have come a few days later once the medical report was sent across, as you say.

Exactly! 😂👍🏻

🤦🏻‍♀️ Have you thought if there is anyone we can go to on the U.K. side of authorities to investigate? My husband started a consular investigation but I am wondering if there is anyone here that can advocate for us??

I would have hoped that as we’ve had approval letters, then surely the visa center should have record of our names at least!?

I don’t know why they can’t just search our name and advise whether the LND has been sent already and been lost in the mail somewhere, or surely if we’re still waiting our cases should have been investigated by now

Yeah, less of the poor me please guys. 😆 Two of us on here are still waiting from Feb and March. Sooooooooo

Okay well there are 68 pages in this thread, so it’s impossible to keep up with who is at what stage. I think we’re all just looking for support from people in a similar situation, so it’s not necessary to chastise somebody who’s only seeking camaraderie. For those who are interested, my husband was approved at his interview this morning. Thank you to those that answered our documents questions.
